  1. I remind me of me before my anxieties got worse. As a tech junkie I love programming and tech as well, and still do but could no longer keep up with this hobby due to stress. If you're gonna make homebrew PSP software, you'll need a custom firmware for your PSP. I'm guessing the PSPs currently available today in stores are hard to put a CFW on due to the firmware they have (v6+). You need stuff like a Pandora battery to downgrade. Look @ YouTube for tutorials.
  2. Buying a PSP so you can buy homebrew with it. Now that's what I call epic dedication to programming. You SHOULD join the Nintendo DS / PSP homebrew community Keep up the awesome work, dude.
  3. That's just a joke guys. I just had experience with song managers that disable themselves when it catches you download or play pirated music, or those that only allow songs that are bought via that program (a program promoting itself?) I decided to keep iTunes (and ditch the other iPod managers). I would not use it as my default player, however, but I can use it to keep my Music folder managed.
  4. The original plutonium-powered De Lorean. In Sci-Fi, I always like power that packs a punch better and dangerous machines that use them better. Mr. Fusion may out-power plutonium, but the whole thing I find is too simple and safe lol.
  5. iPod Nano 8GB (to replace my broken Zen V Plus) I might give iTunes another try to be my Windows Media Player replacement again, that is if Apple wouldn't mind me load "unauthorized" copies of songs into my iPod (they're not necessarily pirated, simply just copies my dad and I made before).
  6. According to all of the posts, I think this is a virus-related problem. Note that viruses are capable of making your CPU and other hardware operate a lot in making that virus work, thus slowing everything else down and at the same time overheating the hardware. Try disconnecting from the internet then virus scan. If you noticed that your Windows Explorer is damaged, look for a registry fixer. IMO, this is unlikely hardware-related. If it is, then the lag should be continuous. And like Carlos_McFly said, his video card was fine until he got the viruses.
  7. Is it really THAT cold? Try Piriform's Speccy and check the temperatures again. As you've said, the GPU also relies on the CPU, so CPU upgrading also helps. But in my case, since I'm using a laptop, that's impossible. But I think I'm satisfied with what I have -- 4-shader Intel GPU with 1.8 VRAM, and 4 GB RAM PC2-6400 dual channel. It can play Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands on low or medium settings just fine.
  8. It can help imo if you upgrade using a faster RAM. In my case, I upgraded from 3 GB PC2-5300 to a 4 GB PC2-6400 dual channel. It sped up a lot of programs.
  9. I'm doing this for me, not for the mod team.
  10. I know. When it comes to anything related to sounds, music or coding, I'm cool with it.
  11. Like I said above, I was thinking of having it as a part of the map, for the sake of not wasting K's work and a sort of trademark for the mod. Speaking of SA, I'm still hoping for a better or more movie-accurate umbrella-shaped-like "wormhole". Having worked on the wormhole for a LONG time now, there is no way of having that same time travel feeling as in the movies unless you restrict the camera to rear view only. I'm thinking instead of having just one particle for the wormhole, have it as a group of particles to achieve an accurate wormhole.
  12. Hmm, forgot about the BTTF SA mod. But how about VC? Any plans of getting it back in some way? 'Ya know, despite the same functions, the time machines ain't the same as the VC version when in SA.
  13. I think everyone should know by now that the DMC-13 is gonna be removed from the mod as an extra. I wanna ask what will happen to the DMC-13 model K1092000 made? Are you guys gonna completely get rid of it (kind of put K's effort on making it to waste) or are you gonna use the model later on perhaps as a map model in the future, perhaps lying around in an inaccessible area inside Doc's home or the IFT?
  14. But that didn't make it any better did it? Still the same DeLorean engine problems? I'm thinking of making my own engine sounds for the DeLorean using a bit different jet sound.
  15. Yup it's an old idea. Like Del said, it is for him to learn mission coding. Apparently due to issues like the crappy AI (any person would figure out how screwed up the Libyans' driving is and use it against them) and the instability of Evilraptor's Hill Valley (too bad this has to be taken out, it was an awesome job), it wasn't included nor probably even finished.
  16. You guys obviously have never been in the PSP homebrew community. For wireless connection, there's a homebrew called "WiFiController". It's a little tricky to use, but it's sick. The homebrew I'm currently using is FuSa Gamepad, which requires a USB connection but is more stable and simpler to use than WiFiController (simply run it like an installed game in your memory stick then connect it to your PC; if you have USB charging turned on you can charge your PSP's battery and use it as a gamepad at the same time). I found the PSP as a gamepad is handy for games like Burnout Paradise. There's even a homebrew called TightVNC that allows you to control your computer through your PSP using WiFi connection. With custom PSP firmware, almost everything for the PSP is possible.
  17. Like RG said it's more interesting if the achievement name is BTTF-related. How about "English, Doc"?
  18. So the DeLorean had a jet sound for the engine? LOL cool. I wonder how many modifications Doc made in the engine to sound like a jet.
  19. Nobody calls me Mad Dog! -- Insult an admin without getting a warn raise. See how you guys achieve that.
  20. Sounds like a driver problem (communication bet. the device and the OS). I've heard some similar cases of mouse problems with 64-bit Windows. It looks like using a 32-bit system may have solved the issue. If it is an old mouse or a super-mouse, installing an up-to-date driver or replacing the mouse is another way of solving the problem.
  21. DK's post didn't affect me at all. I met a LOT of people like Doc -- though successfull in life, they've been actually living torturous years of no relationship or some decent social life.
  22. iMaster's ideas are all awesome. Haven't watched the movies for a long time. Can't think of ideas other than this: "When this baby hits 88 mph, you're gonna see some serious sh*t!!!" -- Successfully send a time vehicle to the future via RC towards and close to the player without hurting the player.
  23. No I think because SA is the most stable. Popularity has nothing to do with how well it can handle mods. I just reinstalled VC yesterday, and installed some neat CLEO mods for it. I compared it with my SA which is loaded with 45 CLEO scripts, and I was like "I hope the version of VC CLEO I'm using is not beta." Speaking of newest, I've seen a LOT of videos saying SA sucks and GTA4 is better, so yeah it's a stupid assumption that newer is better. One guy tried comparing an SA mod with a GTA4 feature (breaking through someone's car door), which is obviously stupid.
  24. Maybe you pressed the "Cancel" button.
