    Paradox

BUT IM REVISING. It follows the movie pretty well until something happens. Well, i mean it oculd happen. Please R&R, I'd like you guys's input. Chapter One Oct. 21, 2015 7:28 PM Author's Note : I left Jennifer out of the time trip. She was annoying me first chapter. D:< I rewrote it because I was bored on a Sunday. Plus, my writing style has improved. Figure I owed it to you guys. I’m going to rewrite the entire story from scratch. Same basic idea, but some alterations, too many plot holes. A silver DeLorean streaked across the sky. In 2015, a flying car was nothing new, but a flying DeLorean? Something else entirely. As people noticed on the ground, they all looked up and pointed. In the skyway, cars were, by law, allowed to travel at much quicker speeds than any land-based vehicle. However, seeing as the DeLorean was travelling below 200 miles per hour (the standard for flying vehicles these days), viewers on the ground were able to catch a glimpse of the stainless beauty flying gracefully across the landscape. As it gained more speed, sparks began to fly from the folded wheels of the DeLorean, along with various glows being traced in fluctuating patterns across its frame. “Was this a show car?” the grounded viewers wondered. Behind the DeLorean, other cars were forced to veer out of the way of glowing sparks being tossed off of the DeLorean and into their windshields. An almost gun-like device mounted on top of the DeLorean began shooting sparks into the front of the car’s hood, forming a wormhole. There were plenty of ooh’s and aaah’s from the crowd gathered below. Though suddenly, a brilliant flash of light appeared in the sky and a sonic boom broke thousands of windows in passing flycars. The mysterious DeLorean? Gone, and all that was left was a pair of fire trails in the air, which other cars were forced to barrel roll to avoid. The sonic boom did more than just break windows, however. Flying technology had not reached the peak of excellence, thus the circuits of many of the cars were completely destroyed by the DeLorean’s sonic wave as it passed through them. Cars began to fall to earth, many of them crashing into streets or buildings. Police investigations and private eyes would spend months trying to find the culprit of this “act of terrorism.” Witnesses in Courthouse Square were interviewed, and confessed to seeing that same DeLorean hanging around for the majority of that day. Two men were always seen with it, one in his late teens, and another in early retirement, they said. The FBI looked into the case for months, but could find no conclusive evidence, and the investigation eventually died down and was filed “Case Closed.” The occupants of the vehicle knew nothing of this calamity. The effects of time travel upon the environment they had travelled from were unbeknownst to them. Having just completed a successful altering of the future, Doc and Marty’s chief concern was getting back to 1985, and, although discreetness with time travel was a something Doc tried to practice frequently, there were times, such as now, where time, ironically, was of the essence. As the time travelers re-entered 1985 with the customary sonic booms now familiar to them, Marty voiced something they were both thinking. The time travel seemed…too quick. “Did we make it…are we back?” He wondered aloud. Before Doc was able to respond, they heard the loud roar of a behemoth airliner from behind. Doc checked his side mirror and noticed the Boeing was heading right for the DeLorean! Struggling with the steering wheel, he attempted to make a course change, but to no avail. The underbelly of the plane collided headlong into the rear of the DeLorean, ripping off the jet-black exhaust vents of the DeLorean, and sent it into a tailspin. As the car rocketed to the ground, Doc was able to set the wheels to their default position, while Marty gripped his seat and prayed for dear life. The DeLorean began to spin like a bullet as it rocketed to the ground. It clipped a branch of a tree in its free fall, which sent the DeLorean into a barrel roll. The Del hit the road front first with a force that shattered the windshield, and fell with a deafening BANG, wheel side down. The hood end of the car was completely crumpled inwards, and the flux bands were twisted and broken along the front end of the car. The Mr. Fusion had been clipped off when the tree had hit the DeLorean, and what remained of the exhaust vents was a black, twisted mass of metal. Various time machine components were sticking out at odd angles from the rear of the car and fluids were leaking from the bottom of the DeLorean. Inside the car, things were not looking too well either. Marty had recovered quickly from the shock, however Doc was apparently unconscious. Marty glanced around at the interior. The flux capacitor was no longer fluxing. The time circuits were inoperable. Doc’s airbag had failed to deploy, leaving him slumped against his steering wheel. Marty’s, however, had deployed, and thus he had remained mostly unharmed. Marty struggled with his airbag, trying to get to the handle of the door, and then clambered out of the DeLorean. Moving over to the other side, he jammed open Doc’s door, and took a look as to his condition. He looked relatively unharmed, save for a bruise on his forehead. Marty unhooked Doc’s seatbelt and, as gently as he could, attempted to move the good doctor from his position. A pungent smell hit Marty’s nose, and notice that a seal of pressurized gas at the rear of the DeLorean was broken and began reacting with noxious fluid working its way down the side of the DeLorean. Marty panicked at the sight of this, and quickly heaved Doc unceremoniously from his seat and began dragging him out of the road. A house with one solitary light glowing from it was located behind Marty, with a porch that Marty set Doc on. He gazed around at his surroundings properly for the first time, and with each passing second grew more and more frightened that something had gone wrong with the time travel. Dilapidated houses just barely standing were scattered here and there. Cars were completely overturned and parts were gutted from their engines. Three police sirens were heard not far off. Two gunshots rang out and a girl screamed. He glanced down at the street and noticed rough, chalk bodies etched into the ground. An owl hooted ominously in the distance to complete the scene. A newspaper was located on the porch next to Marty. He opened it and glanced at the date. It read: October 26, 1985 “1985….” Marty said in shock, “it can’t be.” A shotgun c**ked behind him and a man growled in a harsh voice, “Drop it. So you’re the son of a the big friendly giant who’s been stealing my newspapers.” Doc groaned in his unconsciousness state. Marty turned around and looked up at his captor. The man was completely bald, had a potbellied stomach, and a round of shotgun shells slung across his chest. He wore a nightgown and a pair of Dockside Loafers. “Mr. Strickland!” Marty exclaimed, dropping the paper, getting to his feet. “Mr. Strickland, it’s…it’s me, sir, its Marty!” “Who?” Strickland growled, c**king his shotgun and threatening Marty with it menacingly. Could it be…? “Marty McFly, Marty McFly, sir! I know you know me from school, sir!” Marty flubbed out. This was not the Strickland he knew! What the hell’s wrong with him? He thought. Strickland gasped. He cautiously lowered the shotgun. “Marty Seamus McFly? Born to Lorraine and the late George McFly, July 19, 1968?” “Yes, of cour-excuse me, the late George McFly?” Before Strickland could respond, they heard a screech of tires on the road up the street and a shout of, “Hey, Strickland!” Strickland yelled a shout of horror, grabbed Marty by the collar and dived down next to Doc’s inert form on the porch. Gunshots exploded all around them as the gangbangers shot up Strickland’s house and front porch. All of a sudden, over the roar of the automatics, a second screech of tires sounded, this time right outside Strickland’s home. A deafening crash occurred seconds later, soon after, an explosion. Then silence. Marty started to rise, but Strickland forced him down. He made a “stay here” motion with his hands, and lifted himself off the porch to peek over the porch, and gasped at the sight. The gangbangers, too focused on the house they had been firing at, had been unaware of the DeLorean’s presence in the road. The car had ran over a flux band, causing the car to skid out of control and slam into the DeLorean. The explosion cause was unknown. The strange scent coming from the DeLorean earlier, Marty recognized, was stronger now. Marty struggled to raise himself off the porch, but darkness clouded his eyes, and he fell unconscious next to Doc. Just the beginning. All will come in time. Wotchoo guys think?

    Why the urgency?

You have to think though, that this was Doc's *technically* first time travel trip, I think that, through all the excitement for him about going thru time and such, he may have not been thinking that straight..>_>
  3. anyone? anyone? I'm revamping mine, it had shoddy writing, having said that, I last worked on it about 2 years ago. My writing has improved vastly since then. Anyone have any cool links to any interesting stories? I mainly use FF.net but i know there's more out there, somewhere.
  4. The topic can't be replied in since its over 5 days. So, I'll post it here. QQ, is fuel going back into the game? I have seen the fuel icon going in Mini-Me's and Mike's videos. Btw Mike, love the music choice. And another QQ, if you're going 88 with the truck, the Del won't time travel will it? It's just an object amirite?
  5. Well, we finally got into modeling in 3DS Max, so this is my first creation. Its a hat. Start small. xD
  6. Eh, I'll pass. I'd never play with it.
  7. Depends on your point of view.
  8. Vespertilio - Batman Begins Soundtrack. If you look at the first letters of tracks 4-9 it spells BATMAN. xD Also, all of the names on this CD are appaerantly different species of bat in Latin. Wikipedia aided me in this information.
  9. The truck is coming along really nicely, i could see some cool video shots with the moving van and the Del being rolled out. xD Quick Question, can any car go into the truck? Or just the Del?
  10. The wheels are glowing...that's awesome. How'd you do it?
  11. Great job guys! But Del, you use the ENB series, correct? What's your setup? I like yours better than mine..

    CLEO

same with me, I tried the BTTF SA CLEO mods and they crash the game too when the Loadin Bar is complete. Same with KR. And those 2 are the only mods that I've used.

    Age of Empires 3

you guys are so narrow minded. RTS games take strategy. Ya, i miss AoE 2 where you had the Patrol commands for the ships, so now I have about 1 of each type of ubership guarding all possible LZs, along with some cannon turrets. Tehy only got through once, and pwnt me cause i was attacking them at the same time. I lost, i didnt build a backup. Maybe i should go down to Moderate, i only won once on Hard.

    BTTF THE RIDE Art

I think the artwork for Tommy is really well done, and works well for that pic. Although you spelled Doc's name wrong. Its Emmett Lathrop Brown.

    Age of Empires 3

Thats abit sad tbh, 88. Also, I was on the Amazonian map Org, where you have like the giant river dividing you. +, they had Plantations, which I never knew what they did, which is enerate gold, wow. I never used those until like...i last played, for the first time. Now I'm going to have to re-evaluate my entire strategy. Also, about the 3 hour thing, i had a game that took me about 10 (not all in one day, like 2 hours a day, so 5 days) on Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, I had like 25 or so turrets shielded with shield generators with a constant onslaught of wookiee footsoldiers. Needless to say, they kept getting slaughtered whenever they got close.
  19. At your last statement Angelo, i wouldn't put wasted, as much as Put Alot of Effort into it..... I was talking to someone i know at schoool while i was perusing the mod's site, and i was showing him all the new stuff .2e had, seeing as he only saw it last year when .2d was out. He was peeved there was ony one mission. I said, LOL YOU TRY AND RECODE A GAME THEN COME TALK TO ME. Mission coding takes a long time to LEARN and then IMPLEMENT without the game crashing, i told him. He thought missions could be done in like 2 hours. Try like, 2 weeks, 2 months, in your spare time, maybe. Slightly off topic, anyone know how long the Ride mission actually took to code, test and implement?
