If you were to install this kind of map mod over the BTTF mod, then you'll need to make comparisons between the BTTF mod version and the map mod version of the (Notepad-editable) files the map mod would replace if you install it (i.e. gta_vc.dat). If you recognized there are some differences, copy the edit made in the BTTF mod version of the file to that of the map mod's. In short, it won't be that easy. Reminds me of the Interstate 420-C mod.   2. It is possible to make your own custom weapon in SA without replacing ANY weapon. As for the hose thing, we can solve it by making the pack, the gun and the hose as separate models attached together via CLEO.

    Cleverbot is programmed to tell offensive words from decent/non-offensive words. The AI is aimed for ANY audience, so saying "f*ck you a**hole" won't convince him to speak profanity despite knowing what it means. Even words like idiot won't do it, either.

  5. Hmm, a second English-fluent German (the first being Mini-Me). The thing is, like Carlos said, VC has these limitations that in a way make it hard to mod the game for BTTF. That's why we're having a San Andreas version. In fact, the team especially Blue finds SA easier to mod than VC. The SA version had faster progress than the VC mod did. However still we WILL have the original VC version. And if we did move the entire mod to SA, we will still technically stay at one engine. SA has the same RenderWare GTA3-era engine, only better. The game avoids it by temporarily disabling the Rewind feature of the Beta Suit in certain parts of the game where (or when) paradoxes are possible to occur. However plot-wise a paradox did occur in TimeShift...well, almost. In the last part, *spoiler warning* the protagonist tried removing the mask and the suit alerted him that a paradox was imminent and transported him away as a result. I still can't explain why that happened. True. That's why I LOVE TimeShift. The game is a bit disappointing, though. The game had too many flaws. And speaking of fast-forwarding and rewinding, I should continue progress on my HG Wells Time Machine mod.
  6. Was in use, is still in use, and will forever be used. CLEO allowed GTA:SA to be the MOST moddable GTA game. CLEO will last as long as or longer than the GTA series itself. CLEO FTW. If you think CLEO is old, Half-Life 1 still exists because of modding.
  7. Map mods that have their own modified main.scms and rely on them to work won't work for the BTTF mod, even with the limit adjuster. @Offtopic: Gunsnipe's posts remind me of my old posting habit.

    I haven't experienced that before, but I'll try checking on that. Kind of the same thing here. Not saying a fat/ugly chick is in love with me lol, just that I can be pretty sure this Valentine won't be different or special from the lame/plain Valentines I had before.

  21. All scientists who are working their a** out to prove time travel are strictly against the idea of paradox. I got the idea (or theory or whatever) that paradox and time travel shouldn't go together from them. To answer this thread's question, we can't really be sure when time travel will be proven, but if you guys are talking about human time travel, I'm not sure if 50 years would be enough for that, even if scientists are that too dedicated to waste the rest of their lives researching and working on it.

  23. Though I agree this mod should be as movie-accurate as possible, having some non-canon stuff wouldn't hurt. This is a game after all. We add features for the sake of having a decent or epic gameplay. If you were to make a game out of a movie, accuracy also matters, but gameplay still tops over everything else. You're forgetting the beeper, the DMC-13, Location Circuits and the entirely-BTTF-unrelated KITT. Blue can include non-canon stuff in the mod if it is necessary to have them gameplay-wise, i.e. we had KITT not just because AJH requested it but also because it's a temporary substitute to the features that haven't been added yet. I would agree, though, that there's no need to have the reset button in the mod. It's pointless to have a key that resets whatever is displayed on the TC to its original state when the time machine hasn't time-traveled yet. If it is to clear out whatever you dialed into the TC, however, it would be a good useful feature otherwise.
