Mike 214 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Nice to see Cleo for VC and GTA III are actually being actively worked on. It looked to have gone a little quiet since it was originally posted. If it ever does get to a stage where the VC and GTA III cleos can be made as good (functionality wise) as they are in SA, then I'm sure we would definately consider moving some features to cleo scripts. Brandonlai 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 (edited) that would deffaintly be awesome. Which in turn does that theoretically mean more space for other important features and a bigger missions? Ow I just browsed on there forum and saw some intrestting imformation about the opcodes for GTA VC maybe it coudl come in handy. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...sl=ru&tl=en Site was originally in russian Edited July 24, 2010 by Brandonlai
Mike 214 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 I'm no coder, but I assume if we did go cleo then we wouldn't be confined to the main.scm limit anymore, so potentially yes.
Flux Capacitor 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 It would be awesome if there's some kind of script, code, mod, or program that can create a VC engine from scratch.
♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 could the tcs and speedo be put into cleo then to reduce the space used in the scm?
Mike 214 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Mini-Me or Blue will need to look at the latest version of CLEO for VC and see where abouts it is up to in terms of it's capabilities.
BTTF Forever 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Well, for now it is just CLEO Version 1.1, but im sure in the near future, we will see CLEO 3 for both GTA VC and GTA III, we will be able to do so much more stuff!
Brandonlai 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Yup deffaintly that is the dream !
Mike 214 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Obviously, but as with all new things it needs time to mature as a tool - assuming of course that they plan on developing it further, which I hope they do.
♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 i hope they get all of the scm opcodes into it.
Dragon King 15 Report post Posted July 24, 2010 Sad thing is it only took 4 versions of Cleo for SA to actually have a cleo for VC/III
Ronnyboy 2 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 Because SA was the newest?
iMaster 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 I suppose they were guided by the simplest assumption that the newest installment is the most popular one.
daangelo29 5 Report post Posted July 25, 2010 No I think because SA is the most stable. Popularity has nothing to do with how well it can handle mods. I just reinstalled VC yesterday, and installed some neat CLEO mods for it. I compared it with my SA which is loaded with 45 CLEO scripts, and I was like "I hope the version of VC CLEO I'm using is not beta." Speaking of newest, I've seen a LOT of videos saying SA sucks and GTA4 is better, so yeah it's a stupid assumption that newer is better. One guy tried comparing an SA mod with a GTA4 feature (breaking through someone's car door), which is obviously stupid.
