Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 VC logs 30 of the last keypresses in an array to compare this with the cheats it has preconfigured and that's what Blue is reading from the memory. Sadly this doesn't log all keys, and especially not the numpad, but at least its a numeric programmantion - and it's way better than what we have in 0.2e with the little dot that I sometimes moved one position so that I sometimes needed to go through the whole TCs again . Mike 214 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 and it's way better than what we have in 0.2e with the little dot that I sometimes moved one position so that I sometimes needed to go through the whole TCs again . Very true, doesn't bother me anyway, I usually play it on my laptop anyway, which obviously doesn't have a keypad.

Microman 85 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 It will be usefull ! And I was bored to set the Time Circuits with the actual method ... I only hope we will not have more bugs with it
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 so far none. The original keypad was very isolated, so it wasn't that hard to make it not crash

timetrain 11 Report post Posted October 11, 2009 That's completely amazing that you got that to work by the way.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Well, I found out how to get memory addresses ingame, so now I know the addresses for all the time circuit variables. Year: 0x08233CC DayT: 0x08233D0 DayO: 0x08233D4 Month: 0x08233D8 Hour: 0x08233DC Minute: 0x08233E0 Tcon: 0x08233E4 Note: these are 0.2f addresses, not compatible with 0.2e Pretty much means, you'll get your numpad working on the time circuits and sounds that are independent of VC. So this pretty much is a combination of the minimod and the main series, since all I ever really had in the c++ was the keypad and timecircuit display. EDIT: Got it working. Can now edit the variables through C++. Woot
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 Ok its finished, except for some car checking. So new feature..........you can now use the numpad for programming time circuits.

Joe Statler 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 Will the 0.2d/e system still be usable? Because I can easily set the time circuits using my joypad with that system.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 nope. Learn to use the numpad like the real thing
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 besides, they took too much space that could be used for other more important things
Joe Statler 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) guess I'll have to start playing the mod in front of my monitor and keyboard, instead of in front of my TV. Or get a wireless keyboard. Edited October 18, 2009 by Joe Statler
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 You kinda need a keyboard from now on anyway. I remapped other buttons as well. Train doors - T Doc's truck - Y RC - R TT Mode - M And theres no way joypad can be faster then a keypad anyway, lol.
Joe Statler 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 (edited) thank god for the train doors. I keep on forgetting the button combo for that. Edited October 18, 2009 by Joe Statler
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 yeah, I don't want a 3 button combo just to activate something.
