  1. IF you give it one. All I did here is hid the desktop icons, installed ObjectDock (which is currently hiding from view), installed Thoosje Sevenbar for the Windows 7-based gadgets, and installed VistaGlazz so Aero remains transparent when I maximize a window. Vista looks like sh*t without the transparency and, for me, with those desktop icons piling the desktop. Speaking of Macs, I just got a copy of Mac OS X 10.5 from my uncle. I had to 'cause I'm no longer allowed to buy a MacBook since my dad now bought this laptop, and I need the OS X for college and for personal/recreational reasons. Any tips on how to "hackintosh" my laptop without screwing something up? I know two ways to do it, but wanna ask if any of you know something better.
  2. Current October/November theme (gonna keep this 'till I find my missing WindowBlinds 6): I used to use a Mac theme myself. I liked the clean look of the theme until Windows Aero, which I like as much as the Mac theme.
  3. Having that would be f*cking annoying. If you fly too close to a mountain or building, you'll switch to ground mode, or, the most annoying of all, if you don't lift up in time after switching to flying mode you'll switch back. You'll have to remain above ground all the time when flying, so if you find flying through cities dodging buildings and air/ground vehicles fun, this feature would make it hard to do.
  4. True that Super Saiyans can teleport, but always note that teleporters or "jumpers" should first know where they should go before teleporting, and since the Dragon Balls scatter at random distant places I don't think teleporting alone would help Saiyans find the Dragon Balls faster than Superman. Also, I don't recall arguing with you or any of you guys about the attacks. The reason why I brought the super speed up is because of Superman's ability to travel back in time by breaking the light barrier, traveling (or flying) faster than light itself to accomplish this feat. Then again, I was thinking of Goku. Forgot all about Gotenks. Speaking of which, WHICH Superman are we all talking about here anyway? Pre-Crisis / Post-Crisis / Golden Age / Justice League United Superman? Superman Prime (alternate villain version of Superman)? Or the current Superman?
  5. Has he really started the project? As long as there's yet no evidences time travel is possible AND no evidences it is impossible, we can still try and prove it or disprove it until we get CONCRETE proof. This is the same reason why believers/theists continue to fight against atheists, yet there's no clear winner. @ no.2: It will take us millions of years before we're wiped out. There are two possible ways for us as a species to die if we are to remain on our planet: 1. The Sun growing to a Red Giant star, which is as large as or larger than the solar system, or 2. the formation of the Pangaea Ultima, where the continents, which are still moving since the time of the Pangaea, form back to one single landmass and make the environment for us too harsh to live in. In reference to what EWJ said, the time travel would have put it there to break the machine and possibly prevent a disastrous event later on, or he's just a "grade A-1 dumbass" who got hands on a time machine, traveled back and left the coke can there while sneaking to the facility.
  6. Iron Man Vs. Superman -- Stark is not an idiot. Clark, unfortunately, is. Even without a DC comic to tell him that Superman is weak to Kryptonite, Stark would figure it out anyway. Superman Vs. a Super Saiyan -- What EWJ said. Then again, if the Dragon Balls were scattered by the start of their battle, the DBs can be found by easier and faster than the Super Saiyan by Superman due to his superspeed, so Superman might still have a chance. Also, who said Superman can't wish, too? Batman Vs. Captain America -- uhmm...same argument as Iron Man Vs. Superman DeLorean Vs. the TARDIS -- By looking at the arguments you guys made, I believe the DeLorean as a time machine wins.
  7. Good point, but wait...air conditioners? Were there air-cons in the DeLorean? I thought they were replaced by the time circuits and the plutonium / Mr. Fusion gauge. Note that heat energy isn't a sort of an invisible "mist" that occupies space. It's present in and only in matter, that can be transferred to another. So if, by chance, the DeLorean travels from a time when it's hot, the DeLorean might freeze a little or not at all -- this might explain the re-entry of the fixed DeLorean in BTTF3. And I still believe the ice that's covering the DeLorean in the movies is water vapor reacting to the extremely cold shell which then freezes on the shell. Yes, it is frozen nitrogen as a movie prop, but is it really called the same thing as a in-movie universe object/element?
  8. Neat. Looking forward to the ice models/textures. Here's another explanation: Heat energy is completely absent outside the universe, where the DeLorean travels to to time travel, thus the reason why the outer shell of the DeLorean freezes (well, mostly). The thing is, heat energy INSIDE the DeLorean remains because the walls and doors of the DeLorean keep it from escaping to the outside. So little or no freezing occurs inside. If CJ/Marty does feel the coldness, it would've been different -- they would be frozen along with anything else inside instead of just feeling cold. What I've said here makes me think that time traveling with one or two of the doors open is dangerous.
  9. Here in the PH, it's the same as Mini-Me. You can take lessons as early as 16 and a half, but you'll have to wait until 18 to drive freely. At the age of 16-17, you'll need a licensed adult to accompany you to drive.
  10. OR that prong happens to be missing. See the 3rd question of my second last post.
  11. It can be, but I don't see how the cable would make it look black and white.
  12. lol no it's not Intel. I myself use an Intel GPU, and I don't experience a monochrome display when I use the S-video. I can even display HD stuff with it. Not all Intel PCs are bad. Only the pre-Intel GMA 3000 ones (the 900 series and lower). If you experience problems with post-Intel GMA 900 ones, it's just two things: a driver problem, which is easy to fix, or a "user problem". I'm currently using Intel GMA 4500MHD. That's unless your (iPro) PC has a pre-Intel GMA 3000 chipset, something else is wrong with it. Is the video settings on interlace mode, and does your TV support progressive scan? Is the TV in RGB mode? Is the S-Video port 4-pin and 7-pin, and were you using the right cable for that variant? And, most importantly, is your display set as TV display via graphics/display settings? (later Intel GPUs come with an Intel TV Wizard in the driver)
  13. No, it is because they have a hard time catching up with Windows for their updates. Graphics chipsets ARE their subject. They've been doing it since, because no modern motherboard doesn't come with onboard graphics (you can tell if it has one or not by checking if the motherboard has a built-in video port). Even top PCs like Blackbird 002 has onboard graphics. I was referring to later versions of the drivers. Intel GPUs never had any driver-related problems until the release of Windows Vista. Has anyone here who uses Intel GPUs noticed that sometimes older drivers are BETTER than the new ones?
  14. Never experienced an Intel driver-based problem before, but such a case has happened before in Vista PCs. Intel hardware are easy to update, but the thing is Intel provides the crappiest of drivers. Oftentimes, you would be required to download and install the drivers manually to make the hardware work properly.
  15. Not ALL Windows computers. JUST Windows Vista computers with NVIDIA hardware. An OS CANNOT be corrupted with a driver update. It's just a crash. If it IS corrupted, then it's more than just a driver update you're having problem with. Speaking of which, your question indicates your minimal experience with Windows OS's. Does this explain your inability to fix a Windows-related problem sometime ago (which was fixable AFAICR), and your decision to switch to Mac (which is the case of most Mac users)?
  16. I still have a student driver's license at the moment.
  17. 1. Finding bugs and reporting them are what the source codes are for. If the source codes lack features, don't complain about it. Only complain if it is a main release. 2. Why would you want to send it 1 minute back in time in the first place? 3. It's already proven a "Past Self" feature is impossible to do (both in VC and SA), if that's what you were pointing. 4. It's a "natural" or normal GTA3/GTA:VC/GTA:SA thing to see a vehicle disappear if either you go far enough from it, or you instruct the game via code/mod to clear the area out of peds and vehicles, which what time travel does in the VC and SA mods. Making specific non-time machine vehicles remain where (and when) they are is as impossible as the Past Self feature. 5. Just wait until Blue implements the map stuff. As Blue said, everything that goes or will go in VC would go in SA. 6. And I thought this mod is better than 0.2e. Don't expect everything to be perfect. This is a MOD.
  18. I recall having the same/similar problem once when I installed another mod. Had to change the mod's code in order to make it compatible. If you have other mods installed, try uninstalling them and keeping the BTTF mod in. If it's fixed, then it's those mods.
  19. If your Mac has OS X, and the Mac version of SA can support CLEO, then go for SA. Otherwise, go for VC. Both are getting good progress so far.
  20. LOL it would be best though if it is the Knight 3000, plus this feature, plus a menu of transformable vehicles so the player also has the option to choose. I'll be using the same code for the Morpher Mod. lol this might be the reason why the very first SCM mod (Super-Seesaw mod) never worked, even though I double-checked the code 21 f*cking times. It was going to be a cool SCM version of the C++ project I was working on (Ragdoll Seesaw), until I figured it began screwing up. I used sine and cosine in the code. Too bad I no longer have the code to try and work on it again.

  22. lol funny that you guys just noticed 88milesperhour!'s a she. I'll have to disagree with rule #37. It IS basic internet logic for everyone on the internet to be considered a dude, but based from my experience with girls on the internet, I'll never agree to that rule. There are even cases dudettes would assume most dudes (like myself) know little or nothing about the internet compared to them, when it's the other way around. Other than that, I agree to all other rules, especially rules 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 22, 23, and, most especially, 25 which is happening right now in this topic. Read Rule 63 of the "Rules of the Internet, Blue".
  23. 1-TB internal hard drives require a lot of processing power. As long as the motherboard supports it, your Mac's processor is powerful enough (dual core 2.5+ GHz or a quad core), and you don't have any cooling issues with your Mac, go for it. But it would be better to have a couple of 500 GB hard drives instead of one or more 1TB hard drives, for better performance and to lessen the risk of having data storage-related problems. External 1TB+ hard drives, in the other hand, has its own processor and stuff. It works like a separate PC. All you need is a USB/LAN connection, the driver for the drive, the right set-up/settings, and you're set. You'll still need internal hard drives for your Mac, of course. As for the memory, it wouldn't be a problem. 6 GB RAM is good to go. But for a bit better performance, I'd go with 4 GB RAM, two dual channel 2GB memory modules, if I were you. 4 GB dual channel is better in terms of performance than 6 GB single channel. It's impossible to achieve dual channel with 6 GB RAM. If I really want both a RAM higher than 4 GB RAM and dual channel memory, I'd go with 8 GB RAM, two dual channel 4GB memory modules, if it's supported.
  24. lol @ marty007, EWJ and Blue I was just asking. If I was serious, I would have already locked this topic by then, or renamed the topic to "Optimus Prive Vs. Godzilla", instead of asking you guys with a simple question if you guys want to move this conversation to somewhere else.
