  1. So the problem was you didn't patched the x86 ones? Seems to be a minor problem. For a second there, I thought the UTP has compatibility problems with x64 Windows (I'm planning to switch to x64 soon).
  2. Did you restore ALL of the files, including the x86 ones? Also you need to run those programs with admin privileges (regardless of which UAC level you've set). And be sure the x86 exe patched the files in the windows\syswow64 folder, NOT in the system32 folder.
  3. Did you switch to the default Aero theme first BEFORE restoring the original DLLs? I kind of recall encountering a similar or the same problem before when I first used UTP, but that was in Vista. Not sure for Windows 7. If you did, then something else is causing it (not UTP, nor Explorer itself). There's a reason why every customization pack / custom theme makers, like Stardock, put a "caution message" when using their software, or why Steve Jobs doesn't allow anyone to change the OS X's system files for the sake of customization, among others (aside from the fact that they would be blamed for damaging or bricking their OS, when it wasn't really their fault).
  4. So it was the UTP. Check if you are using the default Aero theme, not a custom theme. Or try this: - Re-apply the UTP again - Restart - Select one of the Aero (non-custom) Themes - Restore the original DLLs - Restart I'm not blaming the UTP itself, since it does nothing to Explorer's performance. It's likely (or it is) one of the custom themes you installed in your system. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index...21103109AAWfYkP
  5. Did Windows Explorer run slow before you applied UTP?
  6. It's either the theme patcher (I bet you used the Universal Theme Patcher I told you before in the Post Your Desktop thread), or some built-for-Windows-XP Windows Explorer-hacking virus doing it.
  7. My favorite cartoons were The Mask, Ghostbusters, Tom & Jerry and Hey Arnold! (I still like the latter, but not much like before) I used to consider Ren & Stimpy, half of Rocko's Modern Life and some other cartoons of the like as brainwash cartoons, for two reasons: I can't understand the narrations/dialogues/voice-acts (due to my weak English vocabulary as a kid); and there are too many random stuff in 'em. Does anyone here still remember "I am Weasel"?
  8. This is the closest thing I can find: http://satukoro.deviantart.com/art/Luna-po...-Aero-136960235 To use this, you need the Universal Theme Patcher: http://deepxw.blogspot.com/2008/11/univers...me-patcher.html Works best with Windows XP system sounds

Currently downloading Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain from an abandonware site, something our vintage store failed to offer. Can't wait to play it.

My ex-bestfriend is on a hacking spree on Facebook again. I just HOPE he doesn't find my account. This is my third Facebook account, and I don't wanna delete it, too, for the same f*cking reason.
  11. Speaking of TimeShift, I need to reinstall the game and put on the 1.1 patch. It seems my old 3DAnalyze workaround doesn't have any effect on the 1.2 patch.

We just had our Valentine's Day yesterday. Nothing special, for me.
  13. Yes it is. I just hope these guys asked permission.
  14. My point was a minor program is taking a bit too much RAM and VRAM only just to make my desktop beautiful. Only if 5-15% of the memory is used by making the desktop well-featured and detailed with Rainmeter, I don't wanna allow it.
  15. Almost everyone here in the forum should have known about the temporary shoutbox by now. . I guess you're not those "almost everyone".
  16. It kind of looks more decent that way for me. I see I'm not the only one here who uses Rainmeter. I always wanted to make a desktop like that, just that a theme like that in Rainmeter would suck up a bit of my resources, which would require me to close Rainmeter everytime I wanna play a game.
  17. Did you get the old "TimeShift window appear fors a second then disappears and closes" problem? If you did, then getting a legal copy won't make a difference. This is an old problem in TimeShift. The game wouldn't work on a GPU that isn't NVIDIA (that's why I called the game a "one-of-a-kind NVIDIA exclusive" earlier), or a GT series NVIDIA card. I know a workaround that would work for Intel and ATI users, but I'm not sure if it will work on yours.
  18. That site also has other fails, such as the fact that it would sometimes rely on the name of the GPU, instead of the shaders / GPU components needed. Post specs, plz.
  19. Post your specs, then I'll tell you if it will work on yours. It worked in my Intel x3100 and currently works fine in my 4500MHD in all settings in low. If you're not using a NVIDIA card, you'll need a bit of tweaking to make the one-of-a-kind NVIDIA exclusive to work on your rig. TimeShift is basically first-person shooter + time control abilities (freeze/slow-down/rewind time). There's also time travel, but this is only a plot-driven feature.
  20. UBER GLASS A second reason why I don't wanna show my face (at the moment; no matter how much I would want to) is because of my still-p**sed off immature ex-bestfriend lurking around the net (no he doesn't edit them and make fun of them, something HELL worse and more immature than that). Speaking of which, I'm still wondering why I bothered making a (third) Facebook account in the first place when I don't have a "face" to show. In fact, it was the same f*cking reason, among others, why I deleted my second account (the first got suspended).

I made State of Liberty work with 0.2d before. It just really need a bit of editing to make map mods work with the BTTF mod.

Does anyone here use Linux Mint? I'm planning to install the OS to my friend's very-low-end Twinhead laptop to speed things up for him since what's causing the problems of his XP is viruses and crappy drivers and he just needs it for internet access and other simple stuff, pretty much like a netbook.
  23. They did (see the Images and Videos sections of this site). There's nothing else to make pictures and videos out of at the moment.
