  1. BUMP My current March/April 2010 desktop... (feat. my x64 Windows 7 Ultimate) Offtopic -- My current Firefox skin: Speed Dial I also wanna show my customized log-on screen as well, if only there's a way to do that. I'm using the same wallpaper in the log-on screen as in my desktop.
  2. I'm gonna post one, once I get some sleep.
  3. It's a nice effort, still. Goes to show SA can have this feature. I might wanna try this out, despite the semi-sh*tty anims. With CLEO, still being updated until now and I believe will never get old, I don't think Blue would want to say "it's impossible" again.
  4. lol Is a "Blonde moment" one of the moments where you felt stupid or you realized you're doing something awfully not right and you just realized it in the end? My life is a planet full of mishaps, stupidity and many-people-laughing-at-me-and-I'm-used-to-it-so-I-don't-care-and-just-walk-away moments to begin with. I might share something hell more funny (or weird).
  5. "Needles" is a surname. His full name is Douglas J. Needles. There's no mention of Griff's mother, father and grandma in the trilogy. A "Biff Jr." and a "Ziff Tannen" were however featured in the (non-canon) BTTF animated series. Biff Jr. was born in 1981, owned the Cafe '80s in 2015, and was the father of Griff, while Ziff Tannen is the grandson of Griff.
  6. You all still remember this?
  7. I think I'm gonna check AlternativeTo.net if there's something better than Parallels. EDIT: The site suggests VirtualBox and VMware are better. Or should I just go for iPC? I wish there's just a "Windows version of Wine" so this wouldn't be a problem -- I don't like the idea of wanting to install OS X just to have GarageBand, etc..
  8. I miss my Mac. If only my little cousin never broke it -- any stuff the size and shape of a Mac Mini Pro or a large external HD or similar seem indestructible to her. And too bad my dad bought me an HP instead of a Macbook. F*cking email never got to him before he went to the computer shop when he was in the US (laptops in our country are more expensive for some reason so he doesn't like buying here).
  9. You can run your Windows version of VC in your OS X via Wine. Search Wine on Google.

    Portal 2

The mention of Wheatley the personality core was made in the Wikipedia article.

    Portal 2

Like I've said, it will be the full game, so yeah it will be also for Mac OS X. I don't think they would link this with HL3 or HL2: EP3. Other than the fact that they would want Portal to be a (mostly) separate game series from the HL series, this game takes place hundreds of years after Portal. Gordon and the rest of the Resistance may have already pwned the Combine by then. There however might be references from HL2, like Combine stuff lying around, in the levels. Chell will be back, for sure (they said some robot put her to stasis after the ending of Portal), as well as GLaDOS, and yes there will be new characters. They weren't named yet, or their names weren't mentioned in public yet. Offtopic: Your mention of the name "Half-Life 3" reminded me of my old abandoned mod project "Half-Life 0", a HL prequel I made up about Gordon's past teenage life. If I get the time, I might revive it and turn it to a HL2 mod, with some help this time.

    Portal 2

Portal 2 announced! Portal 2 Announced on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/news/3559/ Video Games Republic: http://videogamesrepublic.com/?p=14053 Wikipedia (more details): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_2 Expected release: October 2010 Just ought you know, the first Portal was actually just a "test" or an "experiment", to see if players are gonna like it or not, hence the short gameplay or few number of levels. Portal 2 will be the real deal, the full game. The game will have co-op multiplayer (finally!) and lengthier gameplay (hell yeah!).
  13. *Googles for an Event Horizon torrent*
  14. lol Is the movie (Event Horizon) good? I'm thinking of watching that movie soon.

  16. I did, and that's why I'm gonna watch the movies.
  17. I think I'm gonna need to watch the movie to know how this "sun" dies. In real-life, when a star runs out of hydrogen (its main fuel to keep it "ignited") due to the fact that hydrogen in stars are turned to helium via nuclear fusion, it would actually grow bigger, to a size as large as the Solar System or larger, becoming a Red Giant Star, instead of dying out like an ordinary fire or something lol. In fact, the Earth would actually turn to a boiling rock before this happens. I'd find it epic as a sci-fi movie if it's about keeping the Sun from growing to a Red Giant by extending its "teenage" life for a couple of million years to save their a**es from being microwaved.
  18. About that Sunlight film, how was the sun "dying"? Was it going to transform to a red giant and the humans are saving themselves from being engulfed by the Sun, or is it simply shrinking as in LITERALLY running out of "fuel"? I might wanna watch those movies after watching the Matrix, the Terminator and the Hannibal movie series (starting with Manhunter).
  19. Does anyone here have a formspring.me account? Just wanna know how this thing works. Here's mine. Throw me some questions (any question, personal, informational, whatever) http://formspring.me/daangelo29e
  20. @iMaster: You forgot HG Wells' time machine.
  21. Cool, 3D sounds. Gonna test those later. Are there other stuff in CLEO 4 that would make the mod better?
  22. Sounds cool. I should've thought there's more to that almanac than creating an alternate corrupt timeline. If Biff became rich with it, why not Marty? There should be other uses for that Almanac, too, like traveling back in time and preventing the supposed winners from winning, just for lols to p**s off Biff.
  23. These drawings remind me of the old times, when I still love making comics and drawings, and when I used to prefer making art, 3D models or graphics over programming and other computer geeky stuff. I took Multimedia Arts & Sciences in hopes of getting my passion in art back. Just so happens, because of my critical art professors, I'm experiencing the opposite.
