Mike 214 Report post Posted December 10, 2008 I was originally planning on having two EVGA GF 9800GX2 1GB DDR3 PCIE Knock Out 650/2.05 HDMI graphics cards, but with the cost already quite high, I'll leave that as a future upgrade. Mike 214 Report post Posted December 11, 2008 if i were you id have gotten an i7 Apart from being a lot more expensive, the i7 isn't a major leap forward from the core 2, essentially all it would give me is bragging rights. It's best to wait for the next intel chip to be released. @ honest joe - when you say base, do you mean case? In which case it's listed there, first thing on the list. No temp gauges, but has controls for the fans (though they are located inside the case). Going with fan cooling for now, may upgrade it to water cooling at some stage in the future. Haven't really thought about it, thing is with linux I don't really know what I'd use it for, plus it probably wouldn't support all the hardware in this new system.
