iMaster 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 OK, another thing, how do I format it... Windows is screwed up, the USB ports are 1.0 and there is no CD tray.
Jay 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) LOL =O unless you buy a cd tray there's no way of formating it the "normal way". Unless there's another way that I don't know about O.o OH WAIT! you could try with an external HDD but I've never done that xD Edited September 10, 2009 by Jay
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted September 10, 2009 (edited) My laptop e.g. doesn't support booting via USB 1.1... I now simply copied the whole %WINDIR%\inf folder ov to my laptop and told the device installer too look there and it found what it needed but was still missing 2 other files, that are on the windows disk as well as in %WINDIR%\i386. But since the installation got untidy with stupid other files, I'm now reinstalling the OS again only copying the files I suspect as vital for that driver onto it (and not that crap program Driver Inspector again or the other drivers I tried), which are PCMCIA.IN_, pcmcia.inf, pcmcia.PNF, pcmcia.dll, PCMCIA.sy_ and wdhaalba.sys (in DRIVER.CAB). Let's see if it works with these files... EDIT: Works, I also needed to add mdm3mini.inf and mdm3mini.PNF. Everything works perfect now . EDIT#2: And this message now is written with it . Oh I must say I love it . With the regular Windows I always got problems when browsing, pages used too much RAM and I only could open one tab in Firefox and had to keep other programs closed. And now with microXP I can browse with multiple tabs, have Trillian running in the background and additionally run WinAmp, it's great! Orgcon 11 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 (edited) Is it 32 bit or 64? I might be interested if its 64 I hate the fact that 32 bit only uses 3.5Gb of ram! And adding /PAE to the Boot.ini, doesn't always work ;_( Edited September 12, 2009 by Orgcon
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 32bit. Windows itself is supposed to use as less RAM as possible .
Orgcon 11 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 I know but 32 bit limits you, to only be able to use 3.5Gb of RAM no matter how much more than that you have.
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted September 12, 2009 I know. But I mean they design the OS to be used on low spec computers that do not have a lot of ram, why should they then take a 46bit .

♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted September 15, 2009 i got an idea ipro you could always use it as a footrest and when it snows you can use it to clear a path in the snow when you bike (open it up and it has a perfect snow plow shape) and you attach it to your bike. RG 1 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) So fixing the computer would cost more than the computer itself? XD Edited September 16, 2009 by -RG-
♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted September 16, 2009 that means you now have a new back scrather. and if you can get it working you should attach on to your bike handle bars and watch a movie while you bike. you could also to give it power attach a dinomoneter to your pedals to charge the battary (and it becomes completely energy efficent)
