Ronnyboy 2 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 If I were to re-texture this model, I wouldn't have problems with the shadowing right?
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 if you're talking about the shadowed model, yes you would.
Ronnyboy 2 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 Damn, looks like I am going to have to stick with the old one. No biggy I guess.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 oh, the shadowed model is a proof of test. Its just the collision model copied as the shadow mesh. Besides, it doesn't work with the current method of time travelling. The shadow is still there. However, on lower qualities, with the vc style shadow, it does disappear. Ronnyboy 2 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 Oh, now I get ya. Well, either way I won't really be doing anything for awhile with re-texturing, so all is well I believe. Still, very nice work guys, I'm lovin it!
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 Option two. Change to low graphics quality.
Dragon King 15 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 I'll see you guys later this is starting to upset me.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 The problem with having a shadow mesh is this. I already have a solution, and that is to set graphics to low during the cutscene and then set them back to the way they were after the cutscene. That will affect cars and people around you, but I'm just hoping its not that noticible.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 and yeah, very hard to notice with explosions and implosions and whatnot in your face to distract you.
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 I have a little request for you or Carlos: I would like to take advantage of a new featureof SA compared to VC: Give the DeLoren a fuel door, please .
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 The thing is The fuel door is beneath the hood. The Delorean used in the films, with the exception of the one in the 3rd film, had no hood flaps. In order to refuel, you would have to open the bonnet to reach the filler cap. Early production Deloreans had a gas flap The deloreans used in the movies were mid production cars without the hood flaps While late production cars had no hood grooves
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) Oh yeah, only remembered they were refueling it from the outside, but forgot they took a funnel: http://lnx.outatime.it/util/frame3.php?cs=226575 Hrmph . EDIT: Hm, so we gonna stick with the gas flap free one, huh? Edited October 4, 2009 by Mini-Me
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 yeah, for some reason, They had a gas flap delorean for that scene only. Its actually this one right here Since it was only that one scene, the other side never had its wheels converted. The rest of the cars had no gas flaps
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 yeah, no gas flaps. None of the other cars had it. A car B car Fiberglass mockup Offroad Delorean And since the Delorean's basically based off the A car, no gas flap.
