I say the job is nice, but depending on whether you need it. If you want a fancy Vertu-like Time Machine, then it is for you. If you want a movie accurate one - stick to the original.

How about showing a screenshot after sending the Del in RC when they're NOT fading away?

They look good in the distance, but since you said the second one is showing the fire trails fading away, I'm not sure if they would also look good when close to them.
