  1. Also I remember something that allows you to gain access to the cake without cheating, but I don't seem to remember. But you can find the instructions on how you can do it in YouTube.
  2. lol For those who don't know what "The cake is a lie" means, it's a quote from the game Portal. It's those messages you see on the walls made by previous subjects who are also under "hostage" by GLaDOS. GLaDOS promised that she'll give a cake to the subject who "passes the tests". Other than the fact that the tests seem too hard, too deadly or too impossible to accomplish, the subjects can't escape from the facility due to the fact that GLaDOS killed all of the employees of the facility and there's no one left to help them get out when they find themselves stuck, where they're forced to accomplish the tests hoping they'll finally get out or find an exit upon doing so. The last subject, the player character of the game, manages to escape GLaDOS, who was trying to kill her, and from the facility where the tests were held, but the subject never get a hold on the cake. In the final scene of the game, the cake GLaDOS was talking about is seen, suggesting it's not a lie.
  3. That's what a fanboy would say. I really don't know why you started hating Windows and Microsoft, but I assume it's on the problems you've encountered with Windows. The Blue Screen is specifically for technical purposes. This is for the computer technician to know more about the problem. Windows' blue screen has the capability to detect non-OS-related problems. In fact, if it wasn't for the blue screen we often encounter in our old computer, the technician dude wouldn't know that the power component of the PC is taking too much voltage than usual that it will burn/explode/fry up our PC completely once we keep on using it. A "simple reboot" doesn't always do the trick. Sometimes, it can make the situation worse.
  4. Yup, no requests based on the animated series. The animated series is not canonical to the movies. We have to be true to the movies as much as possible. Having different periods in Hill Valley is fine, since those periods aren't really revealed what they really are in the movies and they don't cause conflicts like the animated series.
  5. In my opinion, I don't think God is an all-around nice guy. If He was an all-around nice guy, the whole universe would've been destroyed by then. Sonic X revealed less about Dark Super Sonic. All he did is pwn those robots' a**es though as if they're just made of wood, also he used 500 fake Chaos Emeralds to transform, still too weak to match the 7 Chaos Emeralds' power. If he used the real ones, however, he'll be powerful enough to take down the entire Metarex s***.
  6. Since the original game is not that well-known I am planning to feature Ghosthunter in Ghosthunter Chronicles. It will be an unlockable after finishing the single-player game. All you need is load the saved game you made during the credits then you'll end up in a menu that makes you choose between Ghosthunter Chronicles and Ghosthunter. The Ghosthunter scenario will be a bit different, since it's going to be 1st-person shooter unlike the original, and the game/plot won't be complete, though as if it's a demo. As for the HL2 mod, this should only come after Ghosthunter Chronicles since I'll have to master C++ coding first before going to HL2. It will be named "Ghosthunter Unleashed". It's a sequel of both the game and the mod, and the plot will take place sometime in year 2007. The protagonist will still be Daniel Ravens, who's now on a case to find a missing senator, Jane Kenton, who mysteriously disappeared 5 months ago and the CIA and the government has been worried sick since she carries top-secret files that, when discovered by others, can cause a nuclear war. In Ghosthunter Unleashed, stuff from the original game like the Dagger of Poseidon and the Alcatraz prison will make an appearance. Lazarus Jones, the protagonist of the original game, will also make a cameo. Info about the original game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghosthunter
  7. I can't apply portals. It doesn't fit in with the plot of the mod and the original game as well as how the game Ghosthunter describes ghosts and ghost realms. Since this is going to be a prequel mod, I need to stay true to the original game as much as possible. I like the idea on how the soul would only be taken to go to the ghost realm, but that'll be copying the concept in the original game Ghosthunter -- the main protagonist (Lazarus Jones, who's also a Detriot cop) depends on another spirit who possesses him named "Astral" who projects from Lazarus' body to do tasks that can only be done with ghost powers. While the player controls Astral, Lazarus is left sort of "unarmed" since he requires Astral possessing him to be able to see ghosts since he doesn't have a third eye of his own. In Ghosthunter Chronicles, Daniel Ravens will be Lazarus Jones and Astral combined -- he can use ghost artillery, use (Astral's) ghost powers by himself, and see ghosts. He'll be like the most ultimate psychic ghost hunter (well that's what my friend said about my mod lol). I think entering the ghost realm via Ghost State is OK. Aside from the features, can you suggest anything to the characters and the plot? I'll be posting the summary of the story as well as the list of characters soon.
  8. A ghost realm is already planned. It's a part of the "Ghost State" mode -- once this mode is triggered, the main character (Daniel Ravens) becomes a Super Saiyan-like person with white upright glowing hair, glowing eyes, a white aura, enhanced ghost powers (a la Danny Phantom, excluding flight abilities) and superhuman capabilities. The characters in the game call him a "superpsychic" during this state. During the transformation from normal Ravens to Ghost State Ravens, the character slowly enters the ghost realm, where the environment is twisted beyond recognition, just like in Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. The Ghost State Mode will be having entirely-different game mechanics. Switching to this mode is like switching from a Resident Evil game to a Dragonball Z-equivalent game, and you all know how DBZ games rock. The problem about the Ghost State is that it ain't triggerable by free will, controllable or rather user-friendly -- the Ghost State triggers or activates by itself at an unexpected time in the game. You can expect having unlimited amount of Ghost Energy to use for your ghost powers, as well as enhanced abilities, but the type of difficulty you'll have when playing the Ghost State overall depends on your status before you "go ghost".
  9. Speaking of which, have you ever wondered or imagined if your favorite all-around-nice-guy fictional superhero unleashes his dark side and becomes this very cool evil guy you don't know or expect he/she would be? In the Sonic the Hedgehog series, seeing Sonic unleash his dark side would probably be one of the coolest stuff to expect in the series. In Sonic X, Sonic goes in rage after seeing his friends suffer in front of him while being hopeless to help them himself, letting the Chaos Emeralds turn all of that hate and anger to power and turning him to this dark version of himself -- a.k.a. Dark Super Sonic. Dark Super Sonic still retains some of his characteristics, while most of his characteristics becomes the opposite, turning him to this guy who's very much like your average cartoon villain -- sinister, cruel, powerful and always come with an evil laugh and smile whenever he sees a weakness or an easy-to-do battle or challenge. In the Archie comics, their version of Super Sonic is much like Dark Super Sonic, or rather the Hulk but with more destructive powers, due to the fact their version of the Chaos Emeralds is different. When Sonic is long exposed to the Chaos Emeralds, he turns to Super Sonic, who's this all-around evil guy who hurts, kills and destroys everyone and everything that in his path, and whenever he turns back he'll forget all of that had happened while he was Super Sonic.
  10. I have AVG Anti-Virus 8 and I don't encounter those problems with gta-vc.exe. The only problem I encounter with is Windows Vista's Blocked File Protection system. Whenever I open the Properties window of a program or any other file that I've downloaded or got from an outside source, it says: Well good thing the program still works while it's "blocked". If it is completely blocked, I'll end up with this message: For some reason, the Blocked File Protection system cease to function whenever I have a security software running.
  11. A: I do. Q: Who here drinks soda like it's alcohol?
  12. My mod project's going well, but I'm still far away from releasing a public beta. Aside from the code work, I'm also running out of ideas concerning the game mechanics and the storyline, so I'll need help on this. Overview/Intro: Ghosthunter Chronicles will be a Half-Life modification which will serve as a prequel mod to the original PlayStation 2 game Ghosthunter. I admire (most of) the originality of the Ghosthunter, being that different to Ghostbusters. Aside from being a tribute to the game, making this mod is for me to experiment with other applicable genres and elements for such type of game, and know what Ghosthunter will be like with these elements implemented. The mod's plot, which takes place 2 years prior to the events of Ghosthunter, revolves around Daniel Anderson Ravens, a Detriot detective and an undercover CIA agent who was just sent for an undercover mission to Montsaye High School to spy on Professor Kenneth Brooke, who was suspected to be behind the recent murders of the students where not a single evidence is left behind for the police to find. Everything goes well during the mission, until one night the very murderer he was looking for attempted to kill him, and he was knocked-out and killed before his identity was even exposed. Days later, after waking up from a canister in a strange-looking laboratory, he found out that Professor Kenneth Brooke is actually a member of a 12-year old secret research group (or cult due to its great secrecy) called "Ghosthunters" who are dedicated to paranormal research, the development of "ghost technology" and, as what the name suggests, the hunt for ghosts. He also finds out that the professor, the leader of the Ghosthunters, already knows that the CIA is after him and tries to take down the real murderer, who what the members of the group described as a "hostile ghost on the loose", before it is too late. Resurrected from the dead and given ghost powers thanks to "ghost technology" but now presumed dead by the CIA who then sends another agent to take his place, Daniel Ravens has no choice but to join the Ghosthunters, hoping to find Professor Kenneth Brooke and solve this case before the other agent does, otherwise the Ghosthunters will be completely discovered and exposed. Features in Ghosthunter Chronicles: - 1st-person shooting gameplay (of course) - Various artillery = includes new ones and old ones, ranging from small handguns to rocket launchers and grenades, and from guns we know and have today to ghost-technological guns - Ghost abilities = new ones and old ones; can be used directly by the character itself unlike in Ghosthunter - Dynamic environments / New physics = other than realistic environments with realistically-movable doors, cabinets, windows, books and office stuff, the entire environments themselves will be mostly movable and dynamic, which will help stir up the plot and the gameplay. If I'm successful at all of these physics code, it will be almost like experiencing Half-Life 2 in Half-Life 1. - Darker and logic-driven gameplay (this idea is inspired by the HL mod Afraid of Monsters: DC) = Unlike Ghosthunter, the horror genre of the mod will be completely Resident Evil and Silent Hill-based, so surprise attacks, lights turning off and on by themselves and other unexpected and scary stuff are very likely to occur in the game. Also, the mod will be an equivalent to the game Portal -- you'll need to solve mind puzzles in order to continue. In short, the gameplay will be a blend of horror and puzzle-solving. Also, this allows me to have "multiple endings" for the mod, while still making each ending canonical or completely connected to the original game. - "Ghost State" (a la Super Saiyan, Danny Phantom & Soul Reaver lol) = a sub-mode with its own artillery, game mechanics and an entirely-different gameplay that is triggered while playing which allows more twists to the game; it will be more like playing an entirely-different mod, without leaving the GC mod, straying off from the storyline and having to difficulty switch back If my mod becomes a success, I'll be willing to make another mod, this time it'll be for Half-Life 2 and it will be a sequel to both the game and the mod. Already have plans for it, too. Any good ideas you want to suggest? If necessarily, I'll provide more info about the mod for you guys to give more help (with the exception of the mod's source code, even a bit of info about it). The one who will give the most help, with or without coding/scripting knowledge, will be entitled the mod's co-creator. Info about the original game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghosthunter
  13. lol good thing I chose the one on the right. Who would ever choose the one on the left, aside from a Mac fanboy? Nowadays, just seeing a tower PC with all of that jammed wires and hardware makes you think it's a PC that pwns. Back then, if you have a PC like that, everyone will think your PC will explode anytime. You really hate Bill Gates, don't you?
  14. Does anyone here own DVDs of House? I have all DVDs of Seasons 1-3. As for Season 4 and 5, I decided to just record them via Windows Media Center to save money and time (for waiting for the DVDs to be released). I've just recorded the 94th (latest) episode of House. Oh yeah, in addition to my list above, I'm also planning to get the Xonix MP3 watch with 1GB space and give away my Zen V Plus to my little bro...hopefully.
  15. Wouldn't it be more thrilling/exciting/challenging that way? *Time Dude steals time machine and reaches 84 mph* Time Dude: Just a bit more and I'm outta here! *About to hit a tree, Time Dude finally reaches 88 mph. Wormhole begins to form* Time Dude: Dammit. Hurry up, will 'ya? *SLAM!* *Time Dude hits tree but survives crash. Time machine got completely pwned and Time Dude is fined with $1,000,000,000,000.01 for stealing a time machine and pwning it* FAIL! (what the f***?! )
  16. Too classical. Unless you guys are planning to create your own and just base it from original ones.
  17. See PM. If I ever stop programming and writing reviews, then I'll stop typing too long (I HATE writing too long by hand), but I don't when will that ever happen, since I get free $10 dollars for every review I submit and my Half-Life mod projects are going well now. Also, I prefer "copying and pasting" over typing.
  18. You don't need to mention that. We ALL already know that adding time-specific peds can be accomplished. Note that VC peds are categorized through certain groups (rich, poor, businessmen, etc.). Del/Blue can just modify those categories so that those categories will function temporally, and he/she already planned to do this -- but this will only be implemented once we have ped/character models. I remember bttf29 doing the character models. Dunno what happened to him.
  19. Yeah. Having the rocket follow your finger to lead it to the target while avoiding it from touching your finger and explode is a better idea than having the mouse.
  20. I'm getting BOTH. NFS: Undercover for PC and Midnight Club: Los Angeles for PS3. I'm expecting to have NFS:UC more than Midnight: LA 'cause I'll need it for the next game review/criticism I'll be writing. My PC should be powerful enough to handle NFS:UC. The system requirements are Windows XP/Vista, Intel Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, GeForce 6500 or any GPU with Pixel Shader 2.0 and better internet connection connection. I have Windows Vista, Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel 946GZ integrated graphics (an equivalent to GeForce 6600/7200), 2 GB RAM and broadband connection so I should have all of the requirements I need. Yeah, High Stakes, Underground, Underground 2 and Most Wanted are better than Carbon, storyline-wise and game mechanics-wise (just having teammates in the race makes the race a lot more easier and less interesting). I'll be getting NFS:UC 'cause it's a NFS:MW equivalent and Most Wanted is my 2nd favorite speed game, where Sonic Unleashed is my 1st.
  21. But we'll need at least 3 of the doors (particularly the ones above, and the front door of the courthouse) not only modeled but also open-able for the Clocktower Lightning Strike scene and other BTTF scenes.
  22. It was once a request before to Del to have the speedometer only display numbers from 0 to 88 despite the fact that the DeLorean has beyond the speed of 88 mph when the speedometer's displaying "88", then have the BTTF1 DeLorean's wormhole appear upon reaching 88 mph like in the film, then the formation of the wormhole will take 3-5 seconds before temporal displacement so that players can still be able to witness how the wormhole forms before time travel occurs. It may really be true, like I've said before, that the digital speedometer Doc installed separately in the DeLorean can only show a maximum of 89 numbers (0 to 88), then again having the wormhole appear upon reaching 88 mph and a 3-5 second delay upon reaching 88 mph before time travel will make stuff, especially missions, harder or more complicated in a way.
  23. Crimson Sky -- Christian Elevado Pianissimo in J Major (piano/modern) -- Christian Elevado The Butterfly Rock -- Frederic Chopin (composer) / Christian Elevado (arranger) Christian Elevado is a non-mainstream Indie (independent music) musician, composer and arranger who uses software and computers to create his own "virtual band" (namely ******'s Band) and edits his voice several times to serve as "vocalists". He's a one-man band/orchestra, in short. Without looking it up on Google, you all already know very well who this is, because he's a BTTF forum member. Guess who.
  24. It looks a bit better. Speaking of which, the courthouse/clocktower textures will look great if we can model windows and a doors to the courthouse instead of just putting in textures showing the windows and the doors. Anyways, it ain't complete yet, seeing that we don't see the two animal statues above so hopefully there will be modeled windows and doors.
  25. I don't think anyone of us won, or would win anyways. In the Battle Arena thread, there is no definite winner. It's all about how long the battle itself would take, and how much fun he can have and how much creative stuff we can think of to heat up the battle and/or turn the battle epic -- applying the Chaos Emeralds and letting be used by many other than myself to become this "super version" of himself/herself in the battle is one of the best ideas I've thought, and yes the battle did became epic. I wasn't really that interested in pwning your a**es, I was interested in how the battle would turn up. Simply just pwning everyone's a**es because your this great dude who's better than everyone (no offense EWJ), or creating alternate timelines and using fanboy knowledge to take advantage just spoils everything. That's why I got rid of the Battle Arena now -- If it wasn't for "Fake Angelo", everyone won't be cheated with Sonic fanboy s*** (no offense, Couz), and if it wasn't for Vegeta the thread wouldn't change from a battle-for-fun thread to a go-join-in-to-have-yourself-pwned thread (no offense EWJ). Anyway, I've got rid of the Battle Arena thread now, unless any of you would still be interested in joining in a non-stop battle to get rid of boredom and "the feeling that the forums are dead". If you are, I'm willing to re-create the Battle Arena thread, but this time there'll be rules.
