Blackbird 2 Report post Posted May 7, 2009 (edited) W7 is best. Vista doesn't have any chance against it and XP is using only DX9 and PixelShader3 so It doesn't have any chance, too Edited May 7, 2009 by Blackbird

EarthwormJim 1 Report post Posted May 8, 2009 how about every time he posts a topic, if its worth discussing then we discuss it, but nobody pays any attention to any questions he asks. he needs to be put in his place and that should start with him being shown that he is NOT FUNNY

daangelo29 5 Report post Posted May 9, 2009 I'm currently using the gamma version of Windows 7 (Release Candidate; Build 7100). So far it's the BEST Windows OS that I've used. Also, one noticeable change about Windows 7 is that the once 1.0-4.9 performance rating of Vista is now a 1.0-7.9 rating in Windows 7, so I'm expecting Windows 7 to handle ALL higher-end personal computers (that includes Macs; to be honest iProton, the Mac IS also a personal computer, something Apple has also been calling their Macs for years now since it all started, and something you Mac lovers and anti-Mac users are blind or can't accept as a fact), but I'm not expect anyone to be able to reach the highest rating (7.9). The oldest graphics card that exists as far as I know DOESN'T have a Pixel Shader at all.
♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 mines 5.
daangelo29 5 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 mines 5.3 Note that the Windows Assessment feature gets the lowest score among the components being assessed and makes it your PC's rating. So a higher close-to-7.9 rating means you have a good computer.
♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted May 10, 2009 (edited) i think they should do it as an average which i am going to work out now and the average is 6.24 Edited May 10, 2009 by Grim Reaper1666
daangelo29 5 Report post Posted May 12, 2009 i think they should do it as an average which i am going to work out now They're making the lowest score the PC rating so the user would easily recognize if their hardware is having a low rating or not. In your case, it's a 5.3, so you won't need to think about having an upgrade.
