That's because they tried to green screen in smoke, which doesn't work at all, in fact it looks corny and makes it hard to take the train scene seriously.... And the Rocket and Space Ship passing by sounds don't help, because i don't think trains make jet engine noises as they pass by. lol But at least were not including them in the mod.... Don't get any ideas from that.

If you watch the VC into it isn't just a silhouette... That's why I had some black in there because when you get to the time train and it's just a silhouette you can't tell when the hell your looking at, and it allows you do get the great Doc and Marty one I love. And to those who are complaining about not seeing anything, that's how it's going to be because you can't hardly tell what your looking at in the VC intro, besides I left them small because there will be names of people involved with the mod beside them...... Did I not say it was thrown together in 10 minutes?

The movie has trouble making up it's mind, its a little thick in some spots but mostly it's a dark gray... Unless it's green, yellow, or red, lol.

Keep in mind the locomotive used a different smoke stack than it has now in the movie, it had a classic balloon stack which can drastically alter smoke, since different smoke stacks manipulate the airflow. I like the effect you suggested mike but I don't like how when your going fast it's like two seperate smoke flows, when in reality the wind would combine them. So if it could follow the rest of the smoke i bet it would look better. And if your using those videos, the black smoke needs to be a bit lighter and not so thick. I love you for finding those videos I've been looking for vids of the No.3 for ages, I'm surprised I hadn't seen them. I love how the cars its pulling are the exact passenger coaches and combine car from the movie, the caboose might be the same but it looks like it's been repainted, but the cars are the same. Just checked, same caboose too. Does anyone know the steam whistle they used on the train for the movie? Mike maybe?

That's too much awesome for me to handle, I didn't ever think it would be possible effect wise let alone the sound. I love the ridiculous speed going on too . Before I top myself I'm going to try to imagine that with the whistle too, and the idling sounds when stopped as opposed to the bus noises. <- Not even close.

Well Chroma Keying is taking a certain color on a picture and basically making it clear for the layer below it. I took some random images from Back to the future, cut them out, did a lot of photoshop work to them and got these: There's a few more I did but I didn't feel the need to post them all. Now to be able to do anything with those in a video editor you have to be able to Chroma Key out the green. Here's a quick clip I through together in 10 minutes of what you could do with these images to get the VC into effect. Trust me when I say I can do way better than that.

That tops the most amazing thing I've seen in this mod yet, maybe even tops the new time train. The sound makes me laugh, when its going fast it sounds like rubbing sand paper overly fast on some random surface, but at slow speeds it's completely flawless.

Do you know what Chroma Keying is? And does your video editor have it?

Matching up with the computer time and date does sound pretty fun, that way it isn't stuck on the date of the release on the start of a new game, and you can time travel from then, that means when 2015 rolls around you don't have to do the Libyan mission anymore to time travel.

Is that a model railroad I spy in the background of this picture? If so, I really CAN spot a train over anything.

I was actually into hotwheels too and I still have them all, and I guess it also depends if from then on you become a real car buff and love racing and cars and stuff.

That's amazing, my respect for you just tripled. lol I never liked diesels because they took over and killed off steam, but hey they are still trains. Yeah!!!!!! Hahah I've noticed that everyone goes through a choo choo train phase as a kid and its usually because of thomas the tank engine. It just depend on if you get out of it or make a professional hobby out of it.

Dude honestly thank got I don't run the mod or anything because hell I would get rid of the Delorean all together for the train, and you think I'm joking that's like the only reason I liked back to the future when I was a kid, and now of course its because they are great movies but back then all I knew was Back to the future 3 and the train off the cliff, and the flying train. Didn't you find a way around it anyways?

I really liked the black smoke that was on the train in the video a page back. Great stuff. It looks funny when it curls up like that but for some reason I like it, because the rest of the time its phenomenal.

Hey steampunk is like my style, since i tend to love things that run on steam, the time train is kinda steampunk, im actually drawing a steampunk delorean right now.

Train went up 2 bids and already has 27 watchers in 4 hours, so this could potentially go for a ton of money guys, of course I'll use most of that money to make more, even better ones for who ever wants them. This is really exciting you have no idea.

Ok cool, I want to see how well this first one sells anyways before i can use that money to make more.

If any of you guys from the forums want one of my models you know you can contact me and I can sell one to you meaning it will be a lot less that what that will go for, special discount you know to all my fellow members, but it will still cost some because i have to by the train, fix it up, then ship it to you.
