GTA: LCS PC Edition

GTA: Liberty City Stories (original) was created as a result of a collaborative work of the young Rockstar Leeds, for which this became a great debut, and the creators of the series, Rockstar North. The game has been released for PSP in October 2005. Later, developers decided to port the game to Playstation 2. The port appeared in stores in June 2006.

Description

1998. Liberty City. Two years before the well-known story of GTA3. How did Liberty City look before we first visited its streets? This time, in the center of all action is Tony Cipriani. Fo four years he has been hiding from mafia in foreign lands, but now he finally decided to get back to his home city. Unfortunately, Tony was not forgotten, and neither was the murder of a mafia don. Bloody cat-n-mouse games continue in Liberty City.

The famous game, released for PSP and PS2, but not for PC is amazing in its quality!

Beta 3.1.1

1) Map of Liberty City 1998.

Full map of GTAIII-time imported.

Portland: savehouse with interior, construction site in Hepburn Heights, ferry docks, textures of stores and other small changes, bar in Redlight District, Vincenzo's interior.

Staunton Island: ferry docks, stadium, partially Fort Staunton.

Overall: tree models, road textures, weather effects (weather is optimized to be LCS-like)

2) Mission code.

First 7 missions for Vincenzo (Home Sweet Home, Slacker, Dealing Revenge, Snuff, Smash and Grab, Hot Wheels), 3 side missions (Noodleboy, TrashDash, Slash TV) and 2extra missions which were not in the original game, among which 1 racing mission (Racers Blow, Hepburn race). All car spawns, weapons, bribe, health, info pickups. Car destroyer at junkyard + working ferries. For the first mission, the cutscene is present (test mode, may be glitchy).

I just tested this mod, it ports GTA:LCS from the PSP/PS2 to GTA:SA on the PC. So it is yet another version of my favorite map Liberty City with, what I find the most interesting so far, the missing part of the Porter Tunnel that connects Portland Island and Staunton Island, whereas instead there is a ferry harbor. Also the Callahan Bridge is under construction there, so as well as in GTA III blocked ;).

I just love Liberty City :).

It looks nice even though I don't have PSP for the GTA Stories stuff to compare it to.

I had it for the PS2, it was a piece of p**s to compleat, probably the easiest GTA yet ;)

...Athough an hour to DL it, probably best not to DL it before going to bed

EDIT: PLZ READ!: If you're having trouble getting this game to work, ie, it crashes during loading, then go into the 'Cleo' file and stick the "scmlog" file in a seperate folder from the main cleo file, 'Cleo text' is a good file to put it in. The game should load then! (If this causes any other problems then I can't help you!) :P

That's most likely due to the fact that the game initially was intended for a hand-held console that makes controlling a little more difficult :P.

And yeah, downloading takes a while.

Well, I had it for the psp, and the "look left-look right" controls sucked. You either had to use the "L+analog stick" (which meant no steering while looking left or right) or loose the handbrake button "R" to use the feature correctly. The handbrake is still usable by pressing "Square+X" but sometimes if you don't hit both buttons correctly you'd either speed up or brake all of a sudden. I did like the mission where you have to jump the bridge to get to the middle island. Especially Leon's reaction when jumping the bridge.

I liked the mission where you went into the disused underground rail tunnels and planted a bomb, and then you had 10 seconds to get clear! I compleated that mission by the skin of my teeth, and then enjoyed the video of the Italian district being blown up from below
