  1. When I made use of that GTA complete collection offer on Steam last weekend I felt like installing GTA IV, though I knew my laptop couldn't handle it, just for the fun of seeing what the Steam version acts like. Instead of just using the Steam cloud, which is e.g. meant to synchronize saved games between computers, it had to additionally install me Games for Windows Live for that purpose. And then followed the Rockstar Games Social Club, whatever that is for (if it is browsing servers, messaging and sharing screenshots: That is what Steam is meant for). Finally Steam showed me a window telling me the product key I need to enter ingame - doesn't Rockstar Games trust Valve enough in that Steam is well enough developed to provide working licensing control? Well, like I said initially my laptop in the end did indeed refuse to run it properly, most likely because the game is - as Rockstar Games said - developed for future hardware. Otherwise you couldn't run it on high settings. From a technical viewpoint I can only agree with Your_Bitter_Enemy and say that the game sucks. I can't tell about the actual content of the game though. But let's see what the future brings us. Maybe GTA V is about an extended San Andreas with Vice City and Liberty City in it so that it contains 5 cities .
  2. Sure, but 11.02.11 confuses me. In this case yoo know it's not the 11th February 2011, but there are other cases in that one could mix it up.
  3. With the pattern in the V and that banner saying "five" (does that thing have a special name?) over it I agree with others that it reminds a lot of a bank note, but what could that mean regaring the content of the game? It might be interesting to know more about that banner-thingie, maybe it's been mainly used in a certain time. Why do Americans make it so hard with the dates? Instead of just going from the smallest to the biggest unit, meaning day -> month -> year you somehow squeeze the day in between of the other two . What's so wrong about noting that date as 02.11.11 or 02.11.2011 or 2nd November 2011 or 2nd Nov 2011?

What are your computer's specs, if I may ask?

Does a "Happy birthday Windows XP" fit in here, too? Windows XP turns 10 today, it has been released on 25th October 2001. With ten years it's a pretty old piece of software, but still the most widely used operating system in total: source: http://www.netmarketshare.com/operating-sy...=1&qprid=10
  6. You might have noticed already that I like the odd, and here's an other example for that: " width="600px" height="361px">" />" width="600px" height="361px" allowFullScreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" /> http://youtu.be/fsk7uZI4_NI I haven't played the mod map myself yet, but that seems quite interesting. You start out on that block floating in the middle of nowhere only with a block of ice, a bucket of lava, a tree and the dirt below your feet. As far as I can see it, you in total have a limited amount of dirt, but if you do right unlimited access to stones, wood and all their products. Additionally there's a second one of these floating "islands". That one consists of sand. I haven't seen yet if it has sandstone at its bottom, but if it's purely sand then that makes an other challenge, meaning you have to build a platform below the sand before digging the first block. The author also says that in the current version 2 (2.1 to be precise) you can go to the nether, and that there are more items spread on the other two islands (sand and nether), maybe that also explains how to get to the nether at all. Well, when I'm home I'm gonna take a closer look at this, it does seem quite interesting though, to my mind. The link to its minecraftforums topic is the following: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/600254-surv-skyblock Alltogether it reminds me somewhat of the "404 challenge" or "404: Solid Ground Not Found!"* that used to exist from Beta 1.3 to Beta 1.8, when the two big chunk generator updates happened. The last one sadly resulted in the seed not anymore generating the "desired" feature: A quite big surface of gravel that, when the first block is dug, collapses and sends you downstairs a large shaft realy close to the bottom of the map. You then are left down in the cave with only the resources you collected at daytime, so you should be wise in your choice. * = A little background information: In Internet technology the number 404 generally means that for example a requested file could not be found by a web server. This particular seed actually generating such a map was a funny coincidence. EDIT: Fixed above, Skyblock is just a map, not a mod. Means if you walk far enough you might run into newly generated land .

    Steam Sales

I also owned GTA III, GTA VC and GTA SA (that one actually twice), knew that GTA I and II are downloadable free of charge from R*games and GTA IV and EoLC don't even run on my computers, but still I had PC help me buy it (it is not available if you try to buy it in Germany, most likely because R*games didn't bother about the licensing of GTA I and II here). Mainly to have the games on Steam as well, to have it easier when I want to install them.

  9. Thanks for your opinion, Edmund.
  10. I really wanted to read that article, but... well, you can best see it yourself:
  11. Well, Endermen are in the regular world, too. So you can't just generally tell things by their name . But yeah, Enderdragons and Endermen because they are home in The End(er).
  12. No need to yell that loud and hurt my ears (or rather write that big and in that an agressive color to hurt my eyes) .
  13. Our server has been updated to prerelease 4: http://assets.minecraft.net/1_9-pre4/minecraft.jar Enderdragons will luckily not make it in the overworld, though: " width="600px" height="361px">" />" width="600px" height="361px" allowFullScreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" /> Oh and, they are not yet available .
  14. OK, thanks for that . Odd that it really was completely turned off :S.
  15. I hoped for Windows to be cooperative and automatically reboot and start the MC server after the update is done, but not only it failed with the update, it also has been off for some hours and took several attempts to get the updates installed properly. But now it is back running.
  16. Yes, I know you were talking about potions. All I said was that I look "for the LOLz" at the endermen. You forgot to remove one line in my quote (and quoted it twice), I fixed that for you.
  17. This reflects my music habits quite well: Though that doesn't mean that I don't listen to any other songs. Reminds me I wanted to buy a bigger microSD card to fit some music videos on my phone. Oh and, look what made it into the playlist that holds the songs I listen the most to. Guess from the images above which one I'm referring to . (Apart from Cee Lo Green's "f**k You") And this is why I'm looking for a program that can automatically batch-add SYLT-ID3 tags to my songs:
  18. Sorry for going off topic, but I feel like I need to update the forum with a little tweak specifically for you. I mean, something that flashes, increases the size, shakes, dances or elsehow attracts attention:
  19. That's been happening for a couple of releases already, right, Dragon King ? Sadly animals still despawn. I had a little farm in my garden but now all animals are gone. I hope they stay in the Ender though and don't make it in the overworld. Endermen stand still until you move your cursor off them again. I also saw one yesterday more or less randonly teleporting across the map during daytime. He didn't even stop teleporting for just a second. That's why I keep looking at Endermen every now and then. Just because I find it funny how they teleport towards me, suddenly seem to be gone and then bite my ass . I've got to check what happens if I try that while standing in water, as they are hydrophobic. @Pantherclaws: That also means your new monster collection room will only yield Enderperls and no living Endermen.

    Song title help

When I just saw on TV she released a new song called "Geronimo" 2 days ago I was hoping the song I search above would somehow be releated, but sadly that's not the case. But I'll stay hopeful as I also listened to "Geronimo" on that concert...
  21. Grr... Notch. Fix your game breaking bugs >.< There used to be desert with my wall on it before:
