  1. Sure, that was his smithy while he was the blacksmith in 1885. The only things he did in his garage were the following: 1955: build the hook for the BTTF1, replace the wheels and repair the TCs of the BTTF2 (--> BTTF3) 1985: build the BTTF1 2015: not sure if he added the hover conversion and replaced the nuclear reactor there, but it could be possible
  2. to be exact, you should listen to Doc's letter in BTTF3 --> the DeLorean was hit by the bolt, which caused a Gigawatt overload, activated the Flux Capacitor, messed the TCs and sent Doc back to 1885. But you're right, I never heard of tires that melted when a car was hit by a lightning. as it was already said, they just rotted because of the 70 years in the Delgado mine.
  3. to be exact Doc's saying This means that Doc actually made some TT to find out what will be going on.
  4. sorry, that was my mistake, I overread the post you answered to. I sure know they didn't take the almanac from 2015 to 1985, but in relation to my answer I meant that taking the almanac from 1955 to 1985 would have had the same effect as burning it.
  5. Possibly, because I wasn't able to see the date of the paper with the "EMMETT BROWN COMMITTED" headline, so I don't know if it's an old or an unreleased paper Doc brought from a TT that he made in the meantime to find out what'll happen in the alternated timeline (since you can't see the LAST TIME DEPARTED before Doc and Marty go back to 1955, he could have made some TT)
  6. Hello?? Anybody home??? Think McFly, think!! If Doc and Marty just took the almanac to 1985, they'd be in the REAL 1985 because the young Biff would have no chance then to get it back again (so it'd have the same effect as burning it).
  7. Sure. I just read over the 'maybe', so don't mind.
  8. Well, RG, but have you EVER used a DMC13 TM in a storm? I did and I also got struck. So what was that about isolation????
  9. I've once been to 17somewhen and I GOT STRUCK, so it's there. You haven't read my post thorough, have you? That ONLY means that I JUST don't know WHY it wasn't coded to be strikeable. And that means that I DO know that it can't be struck in the game.
  10. Or someone builds a weather machine to disable lightnings in a storm (so in the future there'd be no need to invent "anti lightening strike material" then [and by the way, noone except Doc, Clara, their boys, Marty, Jennifer and Biff knows about the existance of the TMs], but maybe Doc invents a special paint that would make the DeLorean's body to be more like plastic than stainless steel [although it still looks the same as before])
  11. Sure. I also don't think that he wanted to be stranded anywhen again.
  12. That is a very good question. It had just a scene with nice weather in BTTF3 and it never was struck by a lightning in the cartoon. So I have to say that I just don't know. By the way, I used it in stormy weather quite often and I never got struck (maybe because the lightning strike code has only a relation to the flying BTTF2 DeLorean).
  13. Sure, but in that case ALL TMs should be strikeable since a lightning can ALSO strike a car. I just asked because it'd be MORE MOVIE ACCURATE then.
  14. could you improve the lightning strike form BTTF2 when the flying DeLorean gets struck, just that it doesn't happen at the current location and a random time (e.g. once it happens at 09:42 PM, another time it happens at 10:01 PM), but at a certain locantion AND time? Plus could you add another lightning that strikes a tree that falls to the ground then (I don't know if the falling tree can be animated, so if it isn't possible, just model the fallen tree and code that the model will be replaced), just ~ 20 seconds before the DeLorean gets struck.
  15. RG, I know that being IFT Investor is not the same as being a Moderator. I just wanted to point out, that there's no more to be said in my eyes, so I wanted to give the Admins/Moderators a sign that they can close the topic.
  16. read these topics before posting: http://www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk/forum/inde...p?showtopic=872 http://www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk/forum/inde...p?showtopic=897 to be closed.
  17. RG, don't mind about particles. And by the way, my computer's fine as it is. Joe, I have a Radeon 9600 series, also with 256 MB VRAM. Plus, when I discovered that there are too many green lights, I just wanted to make the screenshot and didn't take care of anything else. Mike, what cgi version do you talk about?
  18. That's the current amount of hover lights: And that's the original amount: My suggestion: IMPROVEMENT!!!!
  19. I'll answer them in the same order: 1. it's not that easy to describe WHAT it is, but it's easier to tell you HOW you can GET there: you build a TM and you shoot it with a gun a few times (it mustn't burn, BUT as soon as you get in, you should be able to see smoke coming out of the front of the DeLorean + if you turn on the time circuits, an ERR lamp should be visible). Then just time travel with or without setting the time circuits (it doesn't matter because they randomize). 2. go to Nov 12 1955 and choose a time before 10:04 PM (you should have enough time to reach the starting line on the road to Hill Valley). go to Sunshine Autos and turn your BTTF1 into a BTTF1 W/ Hook. go to the starting line I mentioned before the clock reaches 10:03 and "when this alarm goes off, you hit the gas". by the way, you HAVE to be in CUTSCENE TIME TRAVEL MODE.
  20. OK, just to make that clear: near KEN ROSENBERG'S OFFICE you can find the HOVERBOARD in 2010+!!!! you can always find the SKATEBOARD at the backside of the pizza place near the JUNK YARD!!!!
  21. OK, forget about that. But the rest would be great. By the way, I edited, the other post (with the "8 ....")
  22. I think the AM/PM colon thing is a great idea. For identification of AM & PM: AM is the upper and PM the lower dot of the colon. And, by the way, how about that: When turning on the TCs, depending on if you have TTd before or not, the following will appear: you made a TT before: OCT 26 1985 : 01:21 OCT 26 1985 : 01:22 OCT 26 1985 : 01:20 (example from BTTF1) you made no TT before: --- -- ---- : --:-- OCT 26 1985 : 01:17 (date and time are just examples) --- -- ---- : --:-- depending on my examples, the upper dot of the colon between the year and the time (which stands for AM) will be lighted.
  23. could you make a little improvement of the TCs? Right after building a TM, the TCs should look like this: --- -- ---- --:-- -- OCT 26 1985 01:17 AM (date and time are just examples) --- -- ---- --:-- -- And it also looks better than this example: OCT 26 1985 01:10 AM OCT 26 1985 01:17 AM By the way and in relation to that request, I saw a small CLEAR button right under the CONFIRM button in the films. Could you possibly add that one to delete typed the destination time?
  24. OK, no problem, it was just an idea I had while watching the new vid.
