Mike 214 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Ouch! At least it should be nearly playable though, it's almost at 30 FPS
Saiyaman 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Ouch! At least it should be nearly playable though, it's almost at 30 FPS Anything below 25fps lags, As long as the game is 25 or above then I'm fine. I can get above 35 if I use a lower res, but I like it better at full res.
K.I.T.T. 2 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 until you test it with full res i still win cause 1920x1200 is a lot harder to display than 1280 x 1024

Saiyaman 0 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Not really, GTA IV relies mostly on CPU power rather than resolution. I'll still beat you though I think It's 50/50, on 800x600 I gain like 15fps. KITT vs KARR (Mike) whose computer will win? :|

Mike 214 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Round about double, but a fair chunk of that went of stuff like western digital raptor hard drives setup in raid etc and other misc bits I wanted. (paranoid about data loss, I is.[/master_yoda]) Besides it's a moot point since I don't have any issue with the cost of my system. Just had a quick tally, and if I remove most of the stuff I added extra just because I wanted it, it returns a similar price to your system, which is not bad considering UK prices are over inflated anyway. daangelo29 5 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Dunno why, but when I try looking at the benchmark results while I still have my PC mods, the game crashes. But I do experience a considerable gaming speed in either low or medium settings (I always kept it on medium before I removed the PC mods). I'm not sure if GTA4 would work again without the PC mods.
