daangelo29 5 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 http://www.metacafe.com/watch/335767/amazi...op_magic_trick/ Is the magnetic plate on the table where the top spins on just an ordinary inexpensive magnetic plate you can buy on the store? We're planning to do this for our investigatory project for our physics class, and I just wanna be sure if buying this magnetic plate would cost us much. daangelo29 5 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 lol You feeble humans are easily ammused! Not me. I've been doing the same stuff and the like numerous times now (I've been doing the same for stuff other than a top). It's just that during those past experiments I just borrow a magnetic plate from my uncle, the same plate I was playing with while I was around 3-6 years old . And when we really need it for school, he's gone to Canada along with it. We're planning to buy one but we're not sure if our (the group's) money would be enough to buy the plate. daangelo29 5 Report post Posted December 4, 2008 What brand are you getting? Anything cheap, as long as it's a magnetic plate.
