timetrain 11 Report post Posted June 14, 2009 you shouldn't have to do anything, it works perfectly on my vista and it always has. If there are problems right click the .exe file and go to properties, and under the compatibility tab check run in windows XP and select run as administrator. That should do it. This will reduce the usage of memory, processing power and even graphics processing power of Windows Explorer and Desktop Window Manager (the two programs that make Vista and Win7 resource hogs in the first place) when you run the mod, maximizing the performance of the game. Well, not exactly maximizing. If you really want maximum performance, close those two programs, or simply upgrade to 4+ GB RAM and 2.0+ GHz multi-core processor, but note that you can't open DWM again after closing it until you re-login or restart.
