  1. ok, looking at that screensaver again, here's how they did it. Multiple curved ribbons that are randomly generated and create a glowing type wormhole when bunched together.
  2. problem is i don't know if it was doable. I was thinking a hybrid actually using the glow as the base and having the flow be modeled. But thats for another time.
  3. Umm, thats what I was inferring...create a wormhole model. Btw, space is not an issue with cleo.

  9. eh, nighttime's not the best compared to the other one.
  10. hmm, looking at those again, it seems the vc wormhole is the closest to those. The SA one I was playing with is nice, but it tapers off too gradually making it seem less bright. The VC one was bright and then almost immediately tapered into blue. Oh well, more playing around later.

  12. nope. GTA never used 3d effects. Always 2d sprites.
  13. well, you can't have that shape in the movies then, because like i said, its a 2d effect so no matter what angle you look at it, it'll always look the same, as in like, if the trail aimed, right, i'll always aim right even if the cars aimed forward. I think I'll just keep my sphere, lol.
  14. well, how do you make one using just spheres? The very question that made me just make what vc has. If only it were like some other games where it is able to make like a sphere with a trail.
  15. maybe. I was just thinking of having like spikes randomly poke out from the wormhole.
  16. oh yes its possible....the problem being that it'll curve the same way across the screen no matter what. I can build it using many particles, it'll just look not that pretty.
  17. yes, but it animates at where it was, so to the user, it'll appear to lag.
