  1. But but but...it's so fun to drive it the way it is. I'm all for realism, but would it be possible to have two different versions? One with the realistic steering/physics and one that's the way it is now? I'm already a crappy driver in the GTA games, trying to drive cars with crappy handling just makes things even less enjoyable. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do, I'm still behind your efforts 100% no matter what you decide to do.
  2. For now I'd have to say mine's the Citroen GT: Ya'll gotta head on over to YT and check out some videos of this baby, it sounds/looks so slick. Sadly not very practical though. PS: Yes it was made in a game first, but it's a real car made by a real car company and it's not in a TV show/movie so I think it counts yeah? Yeah.
  3. It was suggested when I mentioned my sound edits in the shoutbox that I post a video of the tweaks I made to the sounds for the San Andreas mini mod. So without further ado:
  4. Now I'm sure this has been brought up before, but lets see if we can try and resolve this issue once and for all. ENB Series and BTTF SA Mini Mod working together in harmony. I've tried on my own to get this to work using several methods suggested to me, however I have been unable to produce any results. I think the best starting point would be to look at the ENB Series capability of running proxy libraries. Some say that its as easy as going into the enbseries.ini and changing the proxy library code: [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=0 InitProxyFunctions=1 ProxyLibrary= to [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=1 InitProxyFunctions=1 ProxyLibrary=NAME OF NEW LIBRARY.dll What I don't understand is if we are supposed to rename the ENB Series mod's d3d9.dll file or the other mod's d3d9.dll file (in this case the BTTF Mini Mod). I've tried both, and here were the results: Renaming the ENB d3d9.dll returned a functioning BTTF mod but no sign of functionality from ENB itself. Renaming the BTTF d3d9.dll returned no sign of functionality from either mod and a CTD during the save file loading process. ...personally I think there's more to it than just renaming the file. I'm no coder by any stretch of the phrase, but does a mod not have to look for it's d3d9.dll file? And wouldn't it have trouble finding it if it's been renamed? I'm probably just talking outta my *** asking those questions, but I still consider them to be somewhat valid based on the fact that I followed the instructions from several people who say they've gotten other mods working with ENB series just fine. I followed their instructions to the letter...and still didn't get any results. So I ask you this, have you gotten ENB working with your copy of the SA BTTF minimod? Or do you see where I'm making a n00bish error? ENB Series is great, and the BTTF mod is amazing...lets all try and see if we can't get them to play nice and work together to give us a better San Andreas experience. What do ya say?
  5. I still play a fair amount of TF2, and I haven't changed my deskwall since I went on that crazy HD weapon skinning binge. ...several weeks of rehab later, here I am. EDIT: Forgot that it's set to autoswap every so often-
  6. Get the Droid. I know that Moto has been off for a while with their phone line, but seriously, the Droid is probably the second most popular Android handset out there. I love my Droid, and the physical keyboard, while not the best out there, is a definite plus over the Eris. There's also the fact that the Droid has more power than the Eris. It's running stock Android which gets updated more frequently than the Sense UI does, and it's easier to root. I had a bunch of other stuff that I was going to mention, but I can't remember what it all was right now, but definitely DEFINITELY I recommend the Droid over the Eris. ...I can also say from experience that the Droid is very solid and well made and performs very well. I haven't had any problems with it at all, and I've had mine for a good 3-4 months now. EDIT: I suppose I should specify that I opt Droid so resolutely because you have stated that it's either that or the Eris, if other phones were up for debate I'd probably have a different opinion on the subject.
  7. Sorry for those who prefer specific descriptions... Anyway I noticed that if left alone a "cold" Del in the SA mini mod will play it's sound effect (and remain cold) without the effect wearing off. This has lead to me either destroying the car, or sending it through time via RC, to avoid having the sound play through cutscenes. I know I installed the latest source code correctly so I'm wondering is this just something that's unavoidable? ...also whenever I come to a complete stop the sound/effect starts up again, and when it seemingly comes to the end of the sound it just loops back and starts over.
  8. I think so, but I've tried this a few times and had no success. First off I haven't found a concrete tutorial on how to use that function of the ENB series. So I don't know whether I'm supposed to rename the DeLorean mod's .dll or ENB's .dll I've tried doing both, renaming ENB's has no effect, but ENB doesn't work. Renaming the BTTF dll causes CTDs. So I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do. Though, in reality if I had to choose a mod to stick with, it would be the delorean. ...its just so handy having a time/space transcending, self-driving, flying car.
  9. In theory, but I've tried what I thought they were saying, and all I got in return was CTDs. I'm not entirely sure it's not just me doing something wrong either, or perhaps a very simple mistake. ...i.e. Mr. Fusion.
  10. GOOD NEWS EVERYONE I'm technically still alive, m'yes... Now for the rest of the non-futurama-quote-message. I call myself Rasterwerks (Raster or just Ras for short) and I have been fiddling around with the SA mini mod for quite some time now, but haven't actually join up here, so I thought I'd do so. Unfortunately I haven't any skills to contribute other than sound design, which I'm sure ya'll have well covered. My current objectives are to A: figure out why I can't "time travel" with the current source code release. B: Find out if I actually installed the source code correctly C: See whether or not it is possible to run ENB Series and the BTTF SA mini mod at the same time. (They both use their own d3d9.dll files which conflict) So hello to you all, I hope to get to know you better in the future. And with that, I'm off to some other section of the forum to see if I can't get some of the aforesaid issues resolved. Cheerio! -Ras PS: funfact- my screen name is derived from a web based fps that I used to pass the time with. It's not much, but it's mildly entertaining. Google it if your interested. It may still be around somewhere.
