As I've stated a few times (I guess you missed it?), it depends on whether the original authors will allow us to use degraded versions of their models. If not, then scratch building would be required.
To sum up, if we can get permission, low poly versions of the existing 0.2e models will be shipped with 0.2f. If we can't get permission, then the stock VC models will be used until the scratch built models are ready.

angelo why don't you give the update a try? You get regular crashes with the mod correct?

Ah that's good, hopefully that was just a random glitch?
I didn't remove all of the extra cars, for example I left doc's packard, biff's ford, griff's bmw, martys toyota, needles ford etc in the game. Everything extra outside of that I removed.

Off topic, I love the way GS just copies and pastes the entry from the bottom of the board, 10 out of 10 for effort there.

Last update, this time around as well as the map changes it will also replace 30+ vehicles with the originals from Vice City. The rar can now be found in the download section.

Edit - For people who want to try downgrading just the cars and not the map, download the rar, extract the installscript_gtavc text file, open the file, delete all the content then copy and paste the following:
SPOILER:Once done, save the text file and readd to the rar, then run GTA mod installer as normal.

Updated rar uploaded, water level fix is included this time. (stops you drowning in doc's garage.)
n.b. for those who have already installed the update, simply open the rar and copy WATERPRO.dat to your VC data directory

It has been noted that the Evilraptor HV map mod which was bundled with 0.2e can increase the chance of crashes occuring. To that end, we have made an update which will remove all portions of Evilraptors map, leaving in place only the town square, and a simple road that has been added to enable you to drive across to it.
In order to install this update, we recommend the following steps:
1) Install a fresh copy of Vice City
2) Install the main 0.2e setup file Click Here
3) Install the Hill Valley Terrain Col fix update Click Here
4) Install the updated gta-vc.exe Click Here
5) Install the latest main.scm update Click Here
6) Install the 0.2e_map_update Click Here use GTA mod installer to install
- For those who wish to manually install the map update, extract the contents of the data folder from the rar into you GTA VC directory, and use IMG Tool to add the 1955road.dff model to your gta3.img file, once added rebuild the archive.

Exactly what RG and Statler said.
If you want those features, either play 0.2d or the KITT edition mods, or use Mini-Me's add-on's to add fuel back.
I have already explained way too many times why the fuel feature was removed, and why it won't be readded. I have no intention of repeating myself yet again.

I agree with Mini Me.
Plus, it just takes to much distance before it travels, when I made that vid, I was backed up against the wall/fence of the airport, and drove almost the entire length of the runway before it TT'd.

Didn't del use the car class to restrict cars to different timezones? e.g. richfamily, poorfamily, executive. etc.
