  1. Flash Chat - integrates with IPB so people don't need to sign up again, outside of the inital install nothing else is stored in the database

Shoutbox - integrated with IPB, all shouts are stored in the boards database.

I'm just looking for ways to reduce the database size as it is getting rather large to say we've only been on this board for a year.

  2. Never used IRC.

Hmmm, you know, I do have a flash chat script which can be integrated with the board, I bought it many years ago thinking I could integrate it with IPB 1.3 however it is only compatable with 2.x upwards. That would solve my space worries, since nothing is really stored as such, the chats only available to the users who are chatting with each other at the time.

  3. Aww man, since orgcon and a lot of other people are hardly on MSN anymore I could only chat with them through the shoutbox most of the time. Now we won't be able to chat at all (for awhile). We should make our own irc channel.

Or use the spillover forum, Mini-Me is in charge of that place so it doesn't bother me what get's posted there.

I'm on a bit of a database optimising mission at the moment, so expect to see some sections cleaned up, Off Topic and Playground for example contain plenty of topics I can hit delete on.

  4. I'm no PC dummie but I seriously can't find the guide >.>

Only problem I had was it needed a CD in when there is no cd for this game..

Are you serious? So you managed to find the 0.2e setup file but not the install guide? Which incidentaly is located in exactly the same section on the downloads page.

Not exactly hard to check the downloads section either is it...

"Downloads" - "Back To The Future Hill Valley Releases"- "Version 0.2x" - "BTTF Hill Valley: Version 0.2e" - "BTTF Hill Valley - Version 0.2e - Step-by-Step Install Guide"

The installer replaces the current .exe so if it is still asking for the CD then your .exe was marked as read only - not that it should matter since you should have downloaded and installed all of the updates for 0.2e anyway, and we have multiple .exe files included with the updates.
