Maybe the release of the bttf mod for crysis has peaked a bit of interest.
-
Except other than the effects, it doesn't have the right environment for a BTTF mod.
-
The fact it's our mod, and that guy is saying it's his...
-
No it's not out yet, that file is for internal use only.
So quit PM'ing me about it.
-
lol, can you fix that? so it stays open?
-
Oh it does, um, hang on trying to think.
Got it, when marty pulls the door down when fleeing from the lybians, and when marty closes the door near the end of the film when doc goes off to 2015.
-
Cool
Hmmm, is it possible to have a door closing sound?
Actually, even if it is possible, that might be too much, but I was thinking more in terms of if you got out and left the door up, then went to get back in and have the door closing sound.
-
oh, well that sucks.
-
They'll be kinda mission specific though I would think, and other than the following I can't think of any other references to guns.
BTTF 1: Doc's pistol, Lybians Riffle & Rocket Launcher
BTTF II: 1985A Biff's pistol
BTTF III: Doc's pistol, Doc's Rifle, Biff's gangs pistols, Marty's pistol (might be missing a few from here so feel free to add)
-
oh ok, I thought you might have been able to do it through cleo so only the deloreans get that door sound.
-
Blue, hopefully an easy thing to add to the mod, you able to add the electronic door sound to the DeLorean in the next source code or next main release?
-
i don't remember. I was too young.Likewise, I do know I've liked BTTF ever since I can remember.

As you may have noticed, there has been some restructuring of the boards sections and the gallery and downloads components.
Why has this been done?
With the continuing advance of the SA version of the mod, and the decision to make it into a full blown version of Back to the Future: Hill Valley, we have taken steps to restructure the board to reflect this. Additionally we are trying to encourage more discussion of the mod and BTTF, and in general more serious topics, which has seen the removal of the former playground section.
What does this mean for you?
With the restructuring now complete, you will notice some sections have been removed/condensed into one, and/or new sections have been added. For parts of the mod which are specific to either the Vice City or San Andreas versions of the mod, you will see these sections have been split into VC and SA subsections. The gallery and downloads components have also been updated to reflect the change.
The features and requests section is an example of this, with sections for both VC and SA. When posting a feature or request please note the request must be posted in a New topic, this will allow the team to find requests quickly without the need to search through a topic which is X pages long.
In addition to this we have also made changes to the bug tracker tool to incorporate the SA version of the mod, as well as adding the ability for regular members to reply to bug reports, this will allow the community to offer help and support as well as BTTF team members.
Further changes to the sections also include a restriction on members creating new topics in certain sections, this has been done in an attempt to keep the discussion in these sections on the mod, rather than discussing other mods or coding changes.
As a closing thought, we know people tend not to like change, however we feel the changes made were justified and have resulted in a more thoroughly organised forum, which will in turn lead to better topics and discussion.
The BTTF HV Team.

Hopefully the third one will be released today/tomorrow since it looks like he is releasing them at 1 week intervals.
-
That's due to the organisational changes we are making to the forum, you will find that a lot of the sections directly relating to the mod have been updated so that users can only reply to a topic started by a team member. Full details will follow as and when we have completed the changes.
-
That's the whole idea, it's "live" so no past information is stored.
I expect it would be mostly used late evening when our American cousins are online.
-
I will look into the word filters, I assume if you are an Admin/Mod here, then the same would apply in the chat but will check on that also.
-
Ok, chat is up, keep in mind this is beta for the moment, depending on how popular it is will determine if it stays: http://www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk/forum/chat
Providing you are already logged into the forum, you should be automatically logged into the chat application.
I have created 3 rooms for now, Courthouse Square, Twin Pines Mall, and Lyon Estates. Rooms can be added/removed/changed if required.
Post feedback in this topic.

If that's the same as the shoutbox we had on the old 1.3 board (before we moved to this one), then it could be setup for guests to post in.
-
Fun fact, it is possible to run a steam engine on compressed air.
-
You can do global flood control on the shoutbox, but you can't do flood control per member.
-
Spam shouldn't be an issue really, there is a reason we gave members the ability to edit their shouts, sure it takes a few clicks, but it's better than almost a whole page of shouts by the same person.
-
If I remember correctly it can be skinned, so we don't have to stick with the stock theme.
-
That would be an admin's nightmare backing up a forum with 100k members, I can only imagine the amount of posts that has.
Haven't seen this in a while
