I got this update on Saturday - I agree the Part III is the most fun to play around with.
-
But then, if they do make a general release, wouldn't it devalue the current versions? I can't see a general release happening based on that reasoning.
-
Do you wear yours? If so are they comfortable? I'll probably just get some from the prop builder and/or wait for the knock off's to appear on ebay.
-
What he said, downside is they aren't power laced.
And they are out of the reach of most normal people, currently bids on there of $3500+. I'd stick with Trances option of the ones from the prop builder, essentially the same thing.

"You know the rules, and so do I" - Rick Astleylol, you guys. -
With the camera movement it looks more like a 3d render than something official and real.
-
That's fine....except the OUTATIME is meant to look like it is 'stamped' on the plate, which that one doesn't, and two stickers on the top left and right of the plate don't look like stickers.
-
If we ever get to that, it will only be a mini-mod (similar to the current SA offering.). However, it is fairly likely that the models will make it into SA and IV as well. Please make a GTAIV version of HV. -
I think Carlos is only using 3ds max to model certain parts, and for the rest he is using zmod.
Sure, post them up - I'm sure the interior pic's from Carlos' model will be posted up in due course.
-
Everything looks great except the OUTATIME on the license plate...If you can find a better texture to use for the outatime plate, by all means please post it up, we will consider it.

No it's nothing like driving a real one, it is a game after allCan I ask, is the DMC 12 in the mod very realistic to a real life experience driving one? Anyone driven one for real?
They don't but that's not a real issue at all, neither is the lack of horsepower, they are fast enough for what they are, definitely built for comfort though not speed.Cos I read they don't have power steering, has very weak horsepower and so on... but obviously that's cos it's a 30 year old car!
If you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.I've been researching the costs to buy one, not that I can afford it, but just exercising my curiosity... -
Well, personally, I hate the motion blur/trails effect, it's one of the reasons the SA mod has the ability to disable it.

If you want the blue and red sparks to stay, the leaves and newspapers had to go.

The lights look fine to me, and I should know

I just realized that there's something written on the DeLorean license plate :"81JDLN1"
1981 John DeLorean 1 ? X-)
Yes, that is correct.
-
Nope, we're fine making it in house. Besides, if you use the search I think you will find a topic discussing exactly that, but the ideas that were turned in were, bluntly put, crap.
-
Internally we've been talking about a site update for over a year, it's just finding the time to sit down and actually work on it, the whole site will be overhauled with a new skin/layout, and also updated to the latest version of forum software.
-
When the updates come from us anyway, it really doesn't make sense to bring someone on just to post updates. And since all updates are posted by delorean88us anyway, we've kinda got that covered.
-
Every 3-4 months is workable, though keep in mind the progress pictures of the DeLorean are coming every few weeks (sometimes once a week). I'll get something up in the news section over the next few days.
Perhaps we should update the IFT package with that description.
-
What about posting updates in the News section? Thing is, I could post monthly updates, but whenever we are ready to share stuff with the rest of the site, we post updates/images on it anyway. We could of course make some topic in the News section where we can link to updates when posted.just trying to find a solution that pleases everyone. -
Our team are full of awesome idea'sThat's actually quite an awesome idea! The thought behind that is to then have the mod be more frequently updated, so as soon as a new model is done, out goes an update file to update your 0.3a install. This way, you guys aren't waiting 3+ years for then next official version to be released.

Ok, can I still be Mike?Allow me to be frank
I don't think so, I would rather things take time to complete and that the details are spot on, than churn out crap just for the sake of making a release. The detail shown in the 2.f pictures is great, but perhaps too much time is being spent on it?
Liam does this when he creates his buildings, but he isn't going to waste his time texturing and exporting them to VC when they would just need to be redone all over again.Creating basic non detailed placeholder buildings for all locations in all 4 timezones
Once we release 0.2f, the next step will be a 0.3a which should follow pretty quickly. 0.3a will completely remove the Vice City map, leaving only the newly completed HV models. Then in a similar fashion to SA's Source Code releases, update files will be released as we add further buildings, letting you see the new buildings and watch the map grow.Theirby dumping the VC map alltogether
We all have lives, girlfiends, jobs, other commitments, this is a non-paid gig and we can't dedicate all of our time to it. There is always the TellTale BTTF Game for those who are to impatient to wait for our little mod.my impression is that this project has totally lost its focus with no real updates for over a year, whats changed?
I have no issues with you posting on here, I'm all for open discussion.if you'd rather I not post on this forum again, I shall bid you Good Day...I think you should see much more of a plan formulated once we have got 0.2f out the door.
