♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted March 15, 2014 Anyone here ever gotten so drunk that they can't remember anything after a certain point? i have twice, the first time i was in holland and drank 6-8 pints of heinenken and blacked out on the way back to the hotel, although i hadn't had too much to eat but basically remember flashes of the journey back but then woke up fully clothed in bed. the 2nd time which was only tuesday night i drank a pint of old golden hen then went back to the hotel with a mate after we bought a small bottle of gin and drinking some of that on the journey back as well as a pint of guiness at the hotel, i must have drank a third of the bottle. but i woke up in bed with my knees scrapped and a nasty cut on my side, no hangover. uokka 117 Report post Posted March 16, 2014 Oh my.. What is unsettling for me is a guilty conscience for no particular reason. Like, I wake up the next day thinking I could have done pretty stupid things.. But then I remember this: "The Buffalo Theory" A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kill brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine! That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.
