well hopefully the virus can be tracked down, i think it is in the startup items somewhere because of the fact that by using safemode to stop the startup items loading it allowed me into my computer in normal mode. its been nearly 5 hours since i started the scan and it is only on 9%, but its better to let it pick through the computer whacking viruses with slegdehammers then to do a quick scan and have the virus where a fake beard to escape detection.

the reason my specs changed is my old motherboard burned out, which also burnt the cpu and gpu out as well as a few of the memory chips (which were ddr2 now i have ddr3 1333 mhz i think)

my dad took the computer into the local computer store today and the guy who works there found out it was the motherboard which means i had to replace the memory (my mobo was ddr2 new one is ddr3). good job is we buy computer parts from there alot that he checked it for free.
