@angelo: think about how big a disk with a single KB of space was 25 years ago. and i mean physical size. now think how much space we have on micro sd cards and how small they are in comparison, apply the same logic to amplification technology and it makes sense, just hasnt happened yet.

i also cant wait for better battery and amplification technology so we can have infinitely useable wireless guitars and other musical instruments that can produce good quality sound at a stadium concert level volume out of built in speakers

the only reason its hard to launch a rocket nowadays is because of money. were the scientists responsible for developing space exploration technology to have limitless access to whatever equipment or resources they need then we would have colonised not just the moon but probably mars as well.
money itself is the reason we dont have any flying cars, teleporters or even lightsabers. think about how much faster and further technology advances each year. were somone to remove the financial limitations put on the scientists in question then we would be able to see a 2015 similar to one in bttf2.
BUT we wont because the economy is going to completely crash within the next 2 or 3 years and vast amounts of idiots who dont know how to fend for themselves because they relied so much on money will starve to death and after about 20 to 50 years of arguing, killing and in fighting we will (provided we dont all just kill eachother) convert to a global resource based economy where every major decision that made is done so by following the scientific method and reaching the smartest conclusion instead of the cheapest.
its impossible to avoid and you guys have no idea how much i am looking forward to it. having to spend the majority of your time doing work (that more often than not you have absolutely NO interest in) to earn money JUST so you can survive is not freedom, it is a glorified prison and nobody seems to notice, not even the people in charge. freedom is spending your entire life doing whatever it is you enjoy (unless what you enjoy is killing people or somthing like that in which case you need to be shot, no joke) uuuh.. yeah i think i've made myself completely clear without being asked to.

its matter isnt it? if it could run off some beer, an empty can and a bannana peel then it can run off rocks. it wont be like "oh no i dont detect any paper, aluminium or bannana peels so i cant run" it would be like "oh theres matter in me? i better convert that into electricity"
my point is it wouldnt be specifically calibrated to only use specific materials as fuel. its a fusion engine it can use anything. you could cut your hand off and put it in there and it would run

mr fusion is a fusion engine. it converts matter into energy. they were using trash in 1985, 1955 and 2015 because it was really easy to find. they could have used anything in 1885 they could just chuck a handful of rocks in there and it would work fine

plastic melts AND burns. it just depends on the type of plastic. there is a point where if the heat source is too hot the plastic will completely skip the melting phase and go straight to burning. like cooking a chicken on too high a heat, the outside burns and the centre remains uncooked because the temperature is too high to evenly disperse throughout the chicken.

2.20 for a hamburger over here. beef burgers are exactly the same thing. NZ mcds has a policy that they throw into sll their advertising that all of the beef is 100%, the eggs are legit, the milk is legit, the oil is veggie not animal, even the potatoes are legit. everything is sourced from inside NZ (where factory farming is illegal, at the moment at least) and beleive me when i say it tastes far better than anything theyll serve in american mcds

and do you want to explain with enough evidence to debunk my theory why you dont think it would work? matter to energy is a pretty simple equation and rocks are matter, mr fusion doesnt run off a specific material that is not how fusion power is supposed to work (i say supposed to because it hasent been invented yet but still has a name, like teleportation)
you cant just say you dont think its possible because "they use garbage in the movies and rocks arent garbage therefore it wont workLOL" because that doesnt make any sense
