Any advice anyone?

Hello everyone,
I have just made an interior for my mod which I'm working on, just wondering whether I should temporaily import the player model to my scene to get a general idea of scale? how would you do it?
Thanks in advance.

This may seem like a daft question, but when you've created a model from scratch, you'll then need a corresponding *.col model to go with that, does the script automatically create a col or do you have to make another model but export it in col instead of dff?
Sorry if this sounds daft

I get what you are saying, there is always the danger of silly people getting bored........ :/

I can't see this will effect all sites, there are rather a lot of sites out there, they can't just shut them all down, they may close sites like wikipedia (and the like) down because they are well known sites, but I think in the main these forums in the run of things are small in comparison likely make up about 0000000.1% of the sites on the web................... I could be wrong mind, but they're going to have their work cut out? Unless they intend to cut the internet off to the entirety of the USA :/
............ But I still say its unlikely

I agree with Knight bob, I don't wish to get into the politics, but can this get back on topic now, I see a new reply and get all excited, and get dissapointed when I find its still off topic
Looking good K1

go to add object, enter model ID, model name and then position it wherever you want it will tell if you have done it properly or not...
Here's a video on how to use it:
Hope this helps

Hello and welcome

Are you saying I would need to learn C++ ?
This is somthing I have been meaning to get into for a while now just not sure where I would learn such things, I know a friend of mine was learning C++ language from 3d Buzz, I saw a couple of these videos he was sent and looked like a good way to learn, it was sort of like a online seminar..
I'm not asking for anyone to give me a tutorial on it, just want to know where I would get educated about C++, I found several video tutorials on google, but not sure which ones I can trust?
Regards.

Thanks Leaf Do you mean the gta3.exe file? and what sort of editor would I need to use, I've been using notepad ++ which seems to work on most of the files except of course main.scm... however I use sanny builder for that...
~John~
ps. I admit I'm a rank 'noob' with coding lol

Hello everyone,
I have been tinkering about with some of the data files on GTA 3 like pedstats.dat ect.. just wondering what file needs to edited to change who's driving vehicles around or is this dictated in the main.scm file?
Regards.

Have to say I liked the time train because it runs on steam plus coal and water is a tad easier to get hold of than plutonium... there's Mr Fusion.... but what if you get a hole in the petrol tank... you're doomed............ but but but...
I would have to choose the BTTF 2 Delorean for driving (or flying) around the city because it would be easier to park in Asda carpark ect... and I could just leave it in a lock can't really do that with a train.... LOL! but they're just my thoughts

Cheers Trance,

thanks for the comment on my Stafford he's a great dog, I see your dog on youtube, she's lovely

Ok then I'll give that a try, its just that I was confused when the tut said "click SA default" but am I right in thinking that, that button means GTA as in all of them?
-
Is it not the same process for VC then?
Already looked on there they all seem to be SA
-
I have to agree, I keep getting moaned at (on other sites) that I should carry my mod to the SA engine but tbh I don't really see the point lol..................... anyways I'm sure theres a way to do it I just need to know how....
-
I just found this tutorial on youtube, its shows how to edit what car colours go where, would it be the same process for VC car models?
The reason I ask is because there isn't any button for VC, only 'SA default'
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info Thyncho,
But I wanted some tips on scaling a model down, so it is the correct size for GTA VC, its a map object and scratch built, the size it is at the moment I think I will look enormous lol....
