  1. The funniest incident with me and a hoverboard was I stole one from some guy and instead of knocking me off, he just climbed on too. And since the passenger on scooters (it's a scooter in the game) just hops on the back, it looked like Tommy just picked up his boyfriend for a hot date.

  2. I can honestly say, no. They've carjacked other cars, but I didn't think they could even touch the Delorean. I would have liked to see that.

The closest I came to that story was in Vigilante mode (in the actual Vice City game), I had an FBI Washington shooting down a convoy of criminals and the vehicle exploded and crashed right atop of my car. It was just then this prick tried to lift my car (but luckily the wreckage blocked him). I had to pull him out twice.

I would love to see that happen in BTTF. Did he actually time travel, or not?

  3. The fact that games like that even existed is what drew me so much to this mod. It's like, I only wanted to just drive the damn car and do stuff and apparently, that was just too hard to do in games.

Even in the decent Super Back to the Future II (Japanese), it was a good game, but you couldn't drive the car. The car is the most important object in the entire trilogy. So, when I first saw posts of this mod, I couldn't wait to play it. Even just driving around is more than I could have hoped.

  4. I haven't seen this topic (well, one that isn't buried underneath 9000 pages), so I thought I'd ask. What better to ask on a forum full of people who love a time travel.

So this is the scenario: You can travel back or forward to any day, but there's no way back and it's only one choice, which would you pick? Give a reason too.

For me, I'd probably pick February 22, 2010

Yes, this year. I get depressed just thinking about it... There was this one girl who was possibly my perfect match ever that I didn't talk to the very last time I saw her, on that date. I still keep hoping for another chance, but dammit, you just can't rely on it like that. So stupid. That date just exists to haunt me forever.

  5. I'm curious if anyone has ever messed around with some of the game mechanics. I've done a few strange things:

Firstly, you set it to cutscene time travel and just that very second you disappear, hit enter to jump out of the car. The cutscene never ends and eventually the Delorean falls from the sky, followed by the player seconds later. The Delorean is fatally spawned, no time circuits, speedometer or anything until you fix it at Sunshine Autos.

Another thing I've done. I've flown in the BTTF Delorean to the top of a building, shot it until it was flaming, then hopped in, and gunned it off the building. The car explodes mid-air, but still time travels. Instead of spawning at the hospital, I always seem to spawn in front of the Little Havana Police station.

I got shot at another time and time traveled while flaming. That one was standard. It appeared and I leapt out and it exploded.

There's also another when you're flying in the BTTF2 Delorean. If you're midair and suddenly press enter (turns the car off) you can't steer left or right and the only thing that works are the thrusters. With this activated the Delorean just goes everywhere, like it's unaffected by gravity, loops, bouncing off buildings.

There's also a strange occurrence with the nth dimension I seem to run into. Get your car damaged enough and switch to instant (it happens more often that way). Sometimes you arrive in a Vice City that is just completely full of water and you drown everywhere. It's kinda fun to try and get out of it. You need a hover car, but you have to haul ass to try and get into one before you drown. All the peds, everything, everyone drowns.

Just wondering if anyone else had any other kind of stories where they've played around like that.

  6. I expected it wouldn't be able to Time Travel, but it was fun enough to be able to gun down criminals in it. That was my biggest complaint with Vice City; it had to be a police vehicle. Since Vigilante is my favorite part of the game, being able to just do it in any Delorean is pretty awesome.

I like the car as long as it runs, time travel or not :)

  7. I just thought I'd mention this because all you do to install it is change the main.scm file. It becomes like an ultimate (and boring) Vice City, since you're completely indestructable, locked doors, and can go like 9000000000000 miles per hour.

The cool thing is though, you can mix it with the BTTF mod. Like, you can play Vice City with the Delorean. Hell, I went on Vigilante missions with the BTT3 Delorean. That was pretty awesome.

The game is so boring with it, since nothing can kill you and there's no challenge whatsoever. Not to mention tons of glitches, but being able to play with Deloreans in actual Vice City missions is pretty fun. Completely reversible too. Just backup your original main.scm file and put it somewhere safe, then put this one. When you're done, change it back. Easy.

  8. Is Hill Valley also going to at least be the size of Vice City? Otherwise it won't take too long for me to remember everything. Even Vice City is pretty tiny for my tastes.

Nevermind: Looking around, I saw you guys are going to make it even bigger. Nice. I had a feeling, but I wasn't completely sure.

  9. The Diamond cars are great for 1 and 2. I'm not too pleased with their version 3 though. I mean, I don't want THEIR plastered mud on it; it's not even screen accurate.

If you can ever find the BTTF2 Delorean from Diamond, get it. It's superbly awesome. DMC logos are pointless; you can add them yourself. It takes 10 minutes, if that. But that's just me, I'm a customizer :)

  10. Thank you.

I have a question regarding the cars. I've wanted to ask this.

My first version of the game that I've played was 0.2e version 2, with most VC cars still intact. From what I did see you added, I liked. Needles' truck, Marty's truck, Packard, future cars, etc, movie relevant cars.

Well, I finally downloaded 0.2e version ONE (which is so much more stable than the heavy version of version 2), and while I like the details you've done on some of the cars, this is kinda strange to me.

All the cars I saw before in the present had California license plates; makes perfect sense. You guys are making it into Hill Valley. The future cars (Such as Griff's and the 2015 police) have barcodes, good. The 50s cars have 50s plates. So everything's good, but then I see these other cars that I hadn't seen before.

Some of the slick future cars don't have barcodes, and even normal cars like a Mustang have Florida plates. So I'm wondering, if you guys are making it into Hill Valley, why would you ever want to put Florida plates on the new cars you guys are modeling? I even saw a few normal florida plates on the future cars.

Just wondering what's up with that.

  11. My opinion is detailed and high-res models don't mix with old game engines too well...

I rather agree with that... I actually didn't have a problem with the model you guys have been using since 0.2d; hell, I always thought it was best looking one you guys had, save for the time machine.

  12. Hmm, I think that would probably make it too tedious. It's like having it just for the sake of annoyance; not really too fun in most people's opinion. I would have at least a few bribes here and there, or maybe a few clothing change options (that remove 2 wanted levels or beyond).

Or, maybe, just like the one wanted level, can you guys make it so if you behave, even a high level one would decrease on its own.

I think that's better than making people restart constantly, since running over people is inevitable with how GTA games make you drive.

  13. I've been thinking a little about this since I realized that you could change skins. "Looklikelance" changes the player to Doc, etc.

I think the game would really interesting if right off you could chose either Marty, Doc, or Biff

Maybe Doc should be out, since his would be almost identical to Marty, but I think a good/evil game mode would be pretty interesting.

It might be too hard to do though, but it's something to think about. When Mike answered me with "They can choose to be evil or good", it made me remember this.

Either way, I think playing as Biff at least in one part would be pretty cool.
