umm, even if you didn't, since BTTFVC Alphas, it always came with a readme in the main folder that has now been made more noticeable with that new folder.
-
You of all people should know this...
Go to your GTASA Folder
Go to the BTTF_ReadMe Folder
Double Click on english-readme.rtf
read it.

Wonder if I can use the one from VC....testing time ^^
-
Small test
Need to remodel the lit coils though. Since they're the same size as the old coils, they conflict with each other. I solved it in this video by resizing, but its still noticible when you actually play it, since the resize isn't perfect.
I can prelight it in 3ds, but it doesn't export correctly, so meh. This is good enough for now.
Moving on to wormhole i guess.

stable or not, you have a ton of other bugs. Glows not disappearing, lagging animations, just to name a few.
-
at least the coils look better then vc's 0.2c counterpart...
-
i have a habit of showing lots of progress, even if its just playing around
-
I know how to do it. Its not that hard, lol. As long as you know how to paint
I'm just not home right now to do it.
-
You'll see it behind the coils.
I'd rather keep the current setup and leave the coronas stuff to the VC mod.
-
nope
-
Too bright?
I think I know how to do it now.
-
Ha, i just realized i wasn't exporting the vertex colors correctly xD
-
ahh, the vents are just temporary.
Yeah, running as admin does help. I think it blocks some stuff or something. Might have to do with cleo loading some models.
-
Ok, better pic
I think what could be done is apply a gradient to the coils where the center is white and the edges are a bit bluer.
EDIT: Did they remaster it? o_o
I think I was going for this one...
-
Well, back to what I said.
There is a way to get it to appear to glow and that is to create a second layer over the already existing coils and apply an alpha to it.
-
Yeah, they were a bit, but not to the extent of zero's
My problem is that the particles.....well, you can kinda see each individual one and in some angles, you can see the coil show through.
-
Using particles looks fugly now, so i'm not doing the coil/particle hybrid i had in mind.
-
Neon blue looks better during the day, lol.
-
This was what I was talking about with the coils.
Using neon blue, not my color....i think i'll try my color just to see.
-
fly's been integrated into timetravel.cs
-
I had it like that before I left
-
yep
-
I'm not using particles for the coils anymore. I realized halfway through there was another way, but decided to go through.
The new method will NOT use particles at all for the coils.
-
Not for the coils no its not. Its good for the other stuff, like wormholes and fire trails, but not coils. An object would be better suited for the coils. The way I've been doing it and you have been doing it is to line up the particles in a row to make it look as if the entire length of a coils is glowing, but a closer look and we can tell its made up of circular lights.
I want to use an object and apply prelighting to it to make it look like neon, and that method does not have the symptom of looking like it's made of circular lights.
Besides, Mike mentioned you hit the same glitch I had as well.
