lol, tried posting all emoticons and ended up with this:

You have posted a message with more emoticons that this board allows. Please reduce the number of emoticons you've added to the message

There goes my 2 minutes of typing.

  2. How about we try having "past versions" of the characters in the mod in 0.2f? It's worth a try, right?

    Here's one:

After doing the Clocktower lightning strike reenactment, this "Past Self Sequence" will occur. Every November 12, 1955 08:00 PM, a DeLorean w/ hook placed on the side will spawn in the location of Hill Valley where it was really located before the reenactment in BTTF1. Then every 10:00 PM of that time, a "past Tommy" will spawn in front of the Courthouse, run towards the parked DeLorean, drive it to the start line, go outside the DeLorean to put in the hook on the back, get inside, let the DeLorean stall after 7 seconds inside the DeLorean, try restarting the engine, successfully restart the engine at the time when the clock's already alarming, immediately drive towards the cable, reach 88 mph and remain in that speed, make it to the cable and time travel.

The past Tommy won't return after the sequence. Also your beeper won't work on your past self's DeLorean.

You can do a lot of stuff with this sequence: either watch your "past self" do the reenactment, or mess it up and cause a paradox. Stuff that would cause paradoxes in this sequence would be:

    1. Drive the parked DeLorean in a location where your past self can't find it.

    2. Beating-up your past self.

    3. Let yourself be seen by your past self through any means

    4. Be bumped by DeLoreans through any means.

    5. Bump your vehicle/DeLorean with his.

    6. Somehow get to the cable at 88 mph with BTTF1 DeLorean w/ Hook before he does.

    7. Attempt anything that would prevent your past self from doing the reenactment.

If you did cause a paradox, you'll be wasted by instead of respawning in the hospital 12 hours later, you'll respawn in the respawn point when you start a new game in the date October 26, 2008 3:00 PM.

If you want to do the reenactment again instead of your past self, just go to the marker in front of the Courthouse just before November 12, 1955 10:00 PM. The current time will be set to the mentioned date and instead of your past self appearing in front of the Courthouse, you'll take his place and be able to retry the reenactment. The other time machines will be removed and the Time Train will be reset back to its original location upon doing this.

  3. but vc crashes too much.............

The VC crashes are caused by the high-poly models, new map stuff and poor PC specs. We guys talked about it and we found out it would be a good idea if we bring back stock VC then every time we add in new map stuff we remove one part of VC.

I really fear that a very few would play the mod once it moves to GTA4, seeing that not all people can have high-end PCs to agree with GTA4's system requirements. It's either we have a try in moving to GTA: SA or we'll stay with GTA: VC and try anything we can think of to keep the mod from becoming more unstable.

  4. You're talking about Windows 7, right? None of the new features of Windows 7 are features you'll find in Mac OS X. I just made a comparison between Mac OS X and the preview release of Windows 7, and I found out Mac OS X doesn't have features that are the same or similar to the any of the new features of Windows 7.

Funny for you Mac fanboys. There was probably silence because either they don't get the host's s**ty joke, or simply the host just made a s**ty joke. The host may not be sure about what he was even saying.

New features of Windows 7 that I've found:

    - Desktop search (Mac OS X do have the same feature, but this is based from the desktop search of Windows Vista, which was developed months/years before Mac OS X's :P)

    - A brand new taskbar (Jump Lists for each application, pinned applications and a more enhanced preview pane like from Windows Vista only interact-able, etc.)

    - The Libraries thing

    - "DirectX 11" (DirectX Video Acceleration-High Definition, Direct3D 11)

    - Windows Security center was renamed and enhanced as "Windows Solution Center"

    - The same WinVista Windows Media Center with enhancements

    - Device Stage, some sort of a feature that allows more connectivity and features for the cellphone, MP3, etc.

    - User Account Control with controllable notifications (you can finally reduce the annoyance level of UAC)

    - Desktop Window Manager, one of the memory hogs of Vista, will be featured but with 50% reduced memory requirement

  5. It's the next version of Windows for PCs, and it's the result of working hand-in-hand with our partners and with people who use Windows in the real world every day. We're paying particular attention to the things they're telling us are important to them and will make their PCs work the way they want them to—things like enhanced reliability, responsiveness, and faster boot and shut-down. We're also trying to make their everyday tasks easier, like connecting and syncing devices, browsing the web, and managing a home network.

Finally, we're working hard to ensure that Windows 7 will run on any PC and work with any program that works today with Windows Vista, so upgrading from Windows Vista will be easy.

    GOOD.

For those who are planning to get Windows 7, it's ensured that the BTTF mod will run with more stability in this OS (the rest of the stability will still rely on your specs).

  6. Maybe the BTTF HV mod wouldn't run since GTA 2 can run on Windows ME, but has issues with Windows XP.

A lot of compatibility issues of all versions Windows, other than Windows Vista, has been fixed in Windows 7. Programs are bound to work well or better in the incoming Windows.

Maybe that's something I should look into when I start building my next computer. But will it be able to play Vista games (Halo 2) and others that require DirectX 10

Of course. Windows 7 will be released with DirectX 11. :P And if you're not planning to switch from Vista to Win7, DirectX 11 will still be available for download for Vista.

  8. lol

Windows Vienna's an old prototype name for Windows 7. Windows 7's no longer named Windows Vienna (since it is no longer a prototype). I'm anticipating its release, hoping that it would serve as a good replacement for my Windows Vista.

    Windows7Desktop.png

The visuals will be the same as Windows Vista, but the entire OS itself will be Windows XP and Windows Vista combined -- it's like Windows Vista with no annoying UAC pop-ups, no memory hog programs like the infamous Desktop Window Manager, no more compatibility issues, and some others. Hopefully they say it will have the same system requirements as Windows XP, meaning no longer the need of a high-end PC to run the OS.

  9. Actually Gates was an ***hole about it. He said that he could help the Macintosh and basically stole the GUI interface to make windows, although Apple stole/bought the idea from Xerox. Same goes for the mouse.

I wonder what things would be like if Xerox kept their ideas.

He never basically stole the GUI (it's not a "GUI interface", GUI already stands for "graphical user interface" lol :P). What do you suppose to expect in making GUIs without hurting the users' eyes?

  10. It was Jobs and Gates. It was purely personal in my opinion. It's like when 2 egoists meet each other.

And for me, it ain't 2 egoists meeting each other. In fact, if you don't know, Microsoft and Apple do work together at some points. If they're really rivals, what is the real cause then? They seem to have differing visions/objectives, but not opposing -- no offense but Jobs himself, as from what I can tell, is a single-minded capitalist, while Gates gives away billions of dollars for the benefits of others while selling an OS that's heavily-criticized by many, two differing characteristics which aren't enough to make them rivals of some sort.

  11. Amusing, isn't it? Bill Gates has to be thankful to the Mac :P

He is, ever since. I knew this some time ago, and this is the reason why my father decided to have Mac the first computer to be used in the family in the first place.

So I still wonder where all of this "Microsoft VS. Apple" thing came from. It's more like a thing MS and Apple fanboys started, instead of something Jobs and Gates made up. Even Microsoft people use Macs, and Apple people use Windows -- my uncle's friend, an Apple employee and one of the programmers for the Mac OS X (dunno what's his name), uses Windows Vista and calls it a "cool OS". They weren't originally one-on-one rivals, until we made them one-on-one rivals.

  12. What was the first Sci-Fi film ever made?

    - Metropolis (1927)

Frankenstein was filmed and released 17 years early than Metropolis (1910, at the time of Thomas Edison; in fact, the Edison Manufacturing Company made the film), so Metropolis should be the second Sci-Fi film ever made.
