  1. Well, the time circuits might already have a hidden data generator or something that counts the number of days it spent outside its time. The thing is, since it did skip a minute in the first experiment, the time machine was always outside its home time period throughout the entire trilogy. This 4th line needs to have bit more features to be user-friendly.

If only we still have the DMC-13, the calendar would be a good add. Perhaps the SA version, which will have the DMC-13.

  2. When I said "not-so complicated device", I meant any not-so complicated device. Yes, a calendar (that was on my mind when I made that post, just that I used a more general term). :P:lol: And I said "bring along", not invented.

For the casual time traveler, I believe it would likely be an electronic calendar that counts not just days but also hours and minutes. With all of the temporal paradoxes, timeline splitting, time loops, butterfly effects, and other science brain-f***ing crap in his head, the time traveler may no longer have enough brain power left to calculate how long he spent outside his home time period.

  3. Ummm, yes it does. Instead of buying a song on a CD, from Amazon or iTunes, you can just favorite it on Youtube.

Or download the video via a software or some browser script and convert it to MP3.

I have a Greasemonkey script for Firefox that adds a Download link in every YouTube video, so I can download the video easily.

Even singing the song is violation of copyright. Because the material is still being used to make money off the ads[...]

    Never thought of that.

  4. People singing those songs probably have the original (copyrighted) songs playing in the background -- if it is so, then there is a good reason to get rid of them. With sound-editing programs, it is POSSIBLE to take the original song from the video by removing the vocals added by those people and through other edits...something my ex-bestfriend is VERY good at.

And, in most cases, it would be other companies that would have the video deleted, not YouTube. In the above video's case, FOX had the video deleted.

  5. So that is where the Doctor's age comes into the picture again. A Time traveller can not be certain about his age, since he might forget it after fabricating it too many times.

Unless if it is a time traveler who is so conscious of his/her own age that he'll bring along a "not-so complicated device" that counts the minutes/hours/days/weeks he/she spent outside his/her time.

  6. I've got it on PC and the graphics lag a bit for me with geforce 9800gt but my processor is poo. Im bored with the pulling the star destroyer out the sky bit it takes ages.

The new one should be good

Try the 1.1 patch and set the High Detail setting off. It might improve the performance.

Yeah i've seen it. Can't wait for it to come out. I hope Lucasarts doesn't f**k up and not release it to PC again and leaves it to less capable hands like the first one <_<.

I still wonder why they left the porting to Aspyr, and not do the porting themselves. I recall a dude from YouTube trying to port the game himself from PS3 to PC. It was screwy when he ran it, but it wasn't a resource hog like Aspyr's.

    Hol' on... Galen survived?

Ever since the TFU2 trailer was released, SW fans began theorizing about Galen's return like "that's Galen's clone with his Force ghost possessing it", or "Vader cured him and gave him a second chance by sending him to kill Yoda", or "it's Galen's brother", lmao. I believe Lucas would think of a much better explanation for his return.

  7. lol when I said "compromising" I meant getting rid of. Man, should have known playing/watching those spy games/movies for 4 days straight would affect my vocabulary.

But yeah, from the other side, how would you know that the other dimension isn't in existence anymore?

I can tell by how Jennifer, who was left in 1985A when Marty and Doc traveled to 1955, was able to "jump" to the recovered original timeline. If the timeline, after changing history, was to remain existing, the 1985A timeline would end up the same, and Jennifer (and possibly Einstein) would have remained in the still-existing 1985A when Marty and Doc recovered the original timeline -- Marty (and his future) would be screwed if that ever happens lol.

  8. It's strange how the multiple timelines/universes theory of time travel, which is anti-paradoxical if it is possible and if it can and does happen, was applied in the paradox-prone BTTF universe. Then again, BTTF's own version of timeline splitting is different -- for some reason the original timeline erases from existence as well instead of remaining existing (according to the theory, both the original and alternate timelines should exist like parallel universes), also "compromising" the existence of those who came from it (specifically Marty and Doc).

  9. Speaking of moderating, the stuff I've done so far as a moderator is close topics, move topics, pin topics, correct posts and warn people ("verbally"). I haven't done

Being an IFT investor doesn't mean becoming a global moderator or even near. Then again, there is one thing or two IFT investors can do that we moderators could not without becoming IFT investors ourselves. I wonder how the profile panel in the left would display if a moderator is also an IFT investor.

@wizzyboy12: That would completely make the time machine conversion pointless. :P This might be another reason why Del removed the fuel feature -- the fuel would just be a double headache when traveling to past periods.

Every time I try blowing it up the game freezes <_<

Same here. Like RG, I always use the BIGBANG cheat whenever I want to use the Train without needing to find the Train I last used.

  10. lol almost forgot about that.

We can't be sure if he traveled in this year or not. His time circuits were never seen before he first left for the future. It might be true that he first went to 2010, then jumped a year for each of his travels until he ends up in 2015.

  11. Just decided to keep the name as "Mozilla Firefox". Just learned that changing the name alone would make upgrading harder. I'll still need some custom Mozilla titles for whatever I might just do related to Mozilla and customizing.

Can't wait for the 3.7 and 4.0 versions -- the very reason why I'm using these 3.7/4.0-style add-ons in the first place.

  12. From what I've heard, Carlos is planning to make a scratch build of the DeLorean (both stock and time machine I believe). You could be of some help, I think.

But which DeLorean are you talking about exactly? The original/stock one, or the modified time machine one? If it is the modified one, knowing these guys, it would need to be extremely movie-accurate (being very close to the real thing would be enough). If it is the original, it would be OK too, since, like how the current BTTF mod time machine was made, Carlos can base from it to make both versions.

Speaking of which (@Carlos and guys), can we just have those "glowing buttons" inside the DeLorean as not having text on them like the Crysis DeLorean? It's simpler and more decent, and it makes the interior cleaner that way.

  13. I'm in contact with his wife and we agreed that we can't let his awesome work go to waste, and she is trying to sort out his tons of files to find those that might be of interest to us. But I have no idea yet how to organize the continuation of his work...

There may be something in Odie's work that motivated them to continue the mod.
