0.2e R2 Car Replacement Failure

I tried to install the KITT (Delorean Edition) Into 0.2e, but when I replaced the model txd and its dff in IMG Tool 2.0, the car stayed the same as the original with all of its color washed out into white. I know many people don't care for the KITT mod, but its the washed out car problem I need to fix. Is anyone else having this problem? How do I fix it? Please help me find an answer.
