  1. Oi, someone get those models some prelighting stat!

    Try with DK prelighting, The .txd will weight Like 5 to 20 Mb with all those textures. :shock: . Ah. The models are ok. They just need better Textures. I recommend you to make them with photoshop. Those woods need A better UV Mapping. And if it is a test, why you didnt try with Vertex Paint?, it is not the best way, but it helps you to differentiate some faces. The windows of Hill Valley School Need to be modeled. :good:


  2. Yeah, that last part is supposed to be the Mr. Fusion closing sound. I extracted it from Skrapmetal's Back To The Future, The Next Chapter Part III video.

    That's why I am debating whether or not to release it. :P

    I just extracted player8.txd and player8.dff from the gta3.img in this mod and replaced it in my VC gta3.img. Oh, and I edited the textures to give Marty a red shirt:

    Its so horrible.


  3. What does matter what's at fault. Weather it's COL files or the engine itself. The game unpredictably crashes. I've had it crash more on one PC then another. The game is too old to handle all the stuff the mod throws at it properly.

    it cant handle the stuff because each building has 100000000000000000000 of textures with diferent lighting, As I can see in your screenshots, those Lighting effects cant be done with Vertex Colours, so I think that you vertex paint your model with 1 colour and then you put the textures in your model with different lighting. gta VC is not prepared to work with that, It is prepared to work with Vertex Colours.


  4. Okay. I'm waiting for next version... Seriously they uploaded 0.2e in 2009... Normal GTA VC is working perfectly on my PC. This mod is a problem. I don't have anything more to say.

    I dont know if the next version will work fine, since as I can see in Screenshots, they are using lots same texture for models, but with diferent Lighting. And that is not fine.


  5. The whole game is the problem. No version will ever be perfect. The engine is just crap.

    dont throw down the engine where you work, GTAVC engine is good, is not the best one, but its just good. It has nice rendering Engine, What it makes crash more is Definitly, .col's and Main.scm, you have be carefull with those files.


  6. Looks really good but i've only got one question to ALL the mappers not just you. Why is everyone (Except trance and maybe some other ive missed) only making the 1955 map? As we know Llam is currently making them for the mod, so rather than looking like your copying him why not make 1985 or 1985a or even 1955, or maybe even a gta style 1931 instead of the telltale version that again Trance has done.

    Yes your a talented mapper so please make something new not another version of the same map.

    Yes, Dave you are right, But i think the only mappers here are Liam, Mr.Nightshade and me, I didn't saw any other maper, anyone is making 1955 square except me and Liam. So, when you say ALL the Mappers, who are you referring?
