Mike's Video

Recommended Posts

So just curious Mike, in my last post you said you might post a certain video, but it never came. Still any hope?

It's uploaded to YouTube I just never posted it on here. It's nothing to do with the mod though.

actually it's a pre owned original 1981 model, mike had to get new tires for it cause he didn't feel comfortable driving around on 30 year old tires

I'd love to have the money for one. How much was it to get back on the road compared to a new build of the website?

I have to give Mike a lot of credit. Even though he didn't have to get some of them fixed/replace at least he's doing it before he has no choice.

Oh, I forgot one part, John Hervey's Soft-Lift door struts.

I guess it is a lot of parts, but you have to remember this is a 30 year old car, and almost everything on it is original.

I got a little lucky in the fact that the brakes did not need any work, as the brake master and slave cylinders were replaced around 4 years ago, and at around the same time a new clutch was installed with along with a stainless braided clutch line.

Having said that, there are still areas which I will be addressing in the future. I want to add stainless braided injector lines, along with replacing other engine bay hoses, add spax shock absorbers all round, and a stainless freeflow exhaust.

I don't plan on selling the car anytime in the near future, so I'm doing the upgrades to benefit me, not the next owner :P

a bit off-topic but...

I was wondering how hard it is to legally own a 1999 Nissan Skyline GTR R-34 in the US since you can own any car with the steering wheel on the right side and not the left legally in the US without any trouble as long it's 25 years old or more since it's cosidered to be a "collector's car"?

I can't answer your question as I don't live in the US.

If I recall correctly, in Austrailia, if the car is under 30 years old, then it must be converted to right hand drive in order to use it on the road.

But over here in the UK you can import any left hand drive vehicle, regardless of it's age.

I could have my DeLorean converted to right hand drive if I wanted to. I haven't looked into the cost involved in doing that, but I would guess it would cost a fair bit.

It is possible though as it is a service PJ Grady offer:

very interesting indeed ^^

I loved the right hand converted Delorean

I personally don't like to cars with the steering wheel on the left side...

I prefer them and love them with the steering wheel on the right side =)
