RG 1 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Not really. You'd simply be called a geek, at best. Plus, the patent barely pulls the laces in even without any feet in it.
Mr.Kocher 1 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) Well, dude where I come from self lacing shoes are considered bad ass, the only way you'd be called a geek is if there is bulky equipment on the shoe. the patent btw actually do lace very good, they just do it so slow that can't tell. smallo 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2010 the best charging solution would be some sort of shaking charger. You see them in kids toys where they shake an item to make it light up or something so simply fitting these to the shoes would mean it's charging the entire time you walk, jog or run. In the end the motor would only be running 10-15 seconds a day so it wouldn't require much charge.

♠Grim♂ Reaper 1666◙ 17 Report post Posted September 7, 2010 i think using the kinetic energy of walking to charge them is a good idea.
