Flux Capacitor 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 Where can you get train tracks to import into VC? If I get a "wait until 0.2f", could you mind telling me how to import sketchup models to 3DsMax, and import the model into the game?
Dragon King 15 Report post Posted October 2, 2009 Well for one .2f will NOT have train tracks. 2 look up on GTAF for tutorials on how to go from Sketchup to in-game.
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 3, 2009 no train tracks? hm, they were in that video yes? i recommend susatut, sketch up to san andreas tutorial.
Joe Statler 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) I think that the process they used to make the ones in the video is good enough. Edited October 4, 2009 by Joe Statler

TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 (edited) ok, i assume u'd need 2 models, 1 for strait track and 1 slightly curved. i can make em, and place them if i have too. or would u like to place them? perhaps i could just even try to port them over from SA to vice city. edit: maybe 3 models? strait, right, and left? Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 , turn the left model 180° and you have a right model .
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 actually its 90. It'd be funny if someone made a model train simulation
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 so i had it right the first time
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 not really. You just need 2 models at least in order to make a train line that goes in a loop and has straights
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 i was just thinking a loop would be a little boring but maybe not. i'm not sure about the scale though. wouldnt want em to be too big or small.
Flux Capacitor 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 Just import a DeLorean into the model and scale the size, then delete it later.
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 4, 2009 good call. where should i put the tracks?
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 actually its 90. Uhm, no. It's 180! Think about it, if you turned it only 90 you would try to attach its side to the end of the other track.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 I was thinking more on the lines of this like, if this was going right ˹ rotate it 90 degrees CW and you get this ˺ A rotation of 180 would cause this ˼
Mini-Me 24 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 Yes, you still are on linux... I only see boxy placeholders cause my browser can't view your "letters".
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 actually....its windows......
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 (edited) guys, we need/want train tracks. even if its just a fan made add on, i think it'd be sweet. ok, so o.2f has the rogers locomotive, but no track? whats the idea for the train then? ur focusing on 1955 so theyre irrelevant? just seems weird to have the locomotive and no tracks. sorry, not ment to sound flamey at all So, if there was tracks, would there be extra code necessary to make the train run on the track obviously? bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 well, to be fair, the clocktower is more impressive then train tracks.......
TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 of course it is. but what are the new features of the clock tower? are u really concentrating on that?
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted October 5, 2009 i dunno. I'm out of the VC loop.
