TranceLikeState 94 Report post Posted December 13, 2009 does this mean you'll possibly be replacing the SA delorean model altogether?
Evil Morning Operator 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2009 Huh, what? I don't get . I think these models are way to big in polys aren't they?
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted December 13, 2009 Not LOD1. Thats about 22k polies. Actually, I noticed, its more like 44k, since the polies are squares and not triangles. Of course, that means Crysis's Delorean is closer to 140k polies.
Tirido 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2009 Hi guys @bluespace88 About the doors, i modelled them seperately but maybe because of FBX export, they aren't seperated. Yes, these poly counts are poly not tris, so double them. Good luck on convert process I hope it helps this project. This is a great project. Actually I hope to see it also as a GTAIV mod, it would be greater with all new engine. @Dragon King I allready gave this model to a guy (Crymod.com nick owenwilson1) months ago. He wanted to convert it to GTAIV but he is very slow, no serious news so far.
bluespace88 9 Report post Posted December 14, 2009 @Tirido FBX Export actually did indeed separate them. It made it a lot easier to make the doors animate. We'll see about the GTAIV mod once we get a usable model in. As for the conversion, check this thread out, as well as your WIP thread http://www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk/forum/inde...amp;#entry45765 I still haven't gotten alphas to work yet since I had to convert textures to tga for the main textures and bmp for the alphas.
