System Requirements and OS Compatibility
-
As with most mods which add significant features and effects to the original base game, it is unrealistic to expect the games original system requirements to be enough to run the mod as intended. To that end, we have compiled the below list of what we feel are acceptable minimum vs recommended spec's in order to play and get maximum enjoyment out of
Minimum:
- OS: See Operating System compatibility table
- Compatible version of Grand Theft Auto[1]
- Processor: Intel Core i3-4170 or better
- Memory: 8 GB of RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GT 710 1 GB or better
-
Hard Drive:
550 MB /
200 MB of free hard disk space
Recommended:
- OS: See Operating System compatibility table

- Memory: 16GB of RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 750-Ti 2 GB or better

It has however been documented by our users that both the Vice City and San Andreas versions of the mod will run on the Steam Deck (Arch Linux), and also on Linux Mint using Valves Steam client with Proton compatibility. Installation of the mods under a Linux environment would be a manual process, see the Installation Guide for details on how to manually install the mods.[4] Limited information is available on running the mods under MacOS, it will likely involve running a compatibility layer to enable the game to load in a MacOS environment. Manual installation of the mods would be required. If you have had success running GTA VC / SA with mods under MacOS and have details on the steps required, please let us know!
If your PC is toaster-tier that means it is probably the right time to buy something more modern.
