  1. Where would you even start with that though? My dad and I are working on building a fake digital speedo that goes from 0 to 88 at a fixed rate. That's easy. Use some seven segments, hook em up through wires to a display driver/circuit board, program the IC, enclose it in some project box housing, and you're done! With a sound system, and one sophisticated like being able to detect when your door is closing and opening sounds like a really tough thing to do.
  2. I think what the buyer is getting at is like, ITS THE SAME ONE USED IN BTTF ZOMG. No but I think I'm more interested in the tech stuff inside the DeLorean, not so much the magazines and other paraphernalia. I haven't found anything on BTTFParts, BTTFStuff, or offto55 anything related to interior sound systems inside the DeL conversions, or detailed analysis on how they work and are put together.
  3. Lolz, I figured. =/ Prices were very similar to Videobob's stuff though....maybe it was something, like an offspring of BTTFStuff? Maybe not.
  4. Hey, anyone got any intel on this website? http://www.bttfdelorean.com/ It's reportedly a website that sells parts for BTTF conversions, though I only just found out about it a few days ago. Now, I know of BTTFParts (The board's back up, btw for anyone who cares), BTTFStuff, offto55 and so on, but I haven't EVER heard of this one, or like, if it's even still operational, or what. Curiously enough, I was directed there by an old post on the BTTF.com boards that I found was posted back in '07. I was curious as to if there was a way to configure some kind of soundboard or speaker or some kind of setup that would trigger the DeLorean door sound when I opened and closed my (horizontal opening) car door. (By the way, if anyone knows how to wire that up, send a tell. I'd rather do it myself versus paying 450 and change to buy a unit ) I was lead to the interior conversion section of the website, and found the HVMDU (the brown box that sits behind the Time Circuit drive switch) had been repurposed (at least, on this website) to be a functional sound board equipped with speaker that could be wired to various other components sold on the website, and that would play sounds once appropriately triggered. For example, hitting the Drive Switch would produce the Time Circuits On and Off sound, ect. Does anyone know if this is true, or not? I get no reaction on the Email tab, else I would have already contacted the website owner. However, the Add to Cart Paypal function still works, and I can add parts to my Cart, ect. Information on this would be great. Thanks!
  5. Where was From the Earth to the Moon mentioned, Mike? I only remember 20k and Center of the Earth being mentioned in Part III.
  6. See topic. Doc would be proud.
  7. I like the GREAT SCOT! one as well.

  9. Pardon me for asking but..... The DeLorean for IV isn't out yet, right? Or am I just missing a link somewhere? I see people in this topic toying around with the VC and SA versions..

    The Oscars

http://oscar.go.com/nominations So, the Oscar nominations were just announced. I dunno about any of you guys pay attention to this kind of stuff, but me, I DO. xD Anyone got an idea about who's going to win Best Picture?
  11. Well, I'm finally moved into my new place. I wasn't allowed to put up ANYTHING in my room since early October. This included 25th Anniversary BTTF posters. So, reluctantly, I put it in storage. So, after finally getting it out, I realize [gasp] =O [/gasp] that the poster is ripped! In 2 places! Does anyone know how to fix a tear in a poster like this? It's not a big one (only about as big as an index finger) and it's near the middle top area right in the middle of the giant 5. In addition there is one to the right of this in the black area as well. It's also rather crinkled in some places, having been furled up for so long. Any ideas anyone?
  12. Not protective, just a good memory. Naaah, it was one of the conversation options that maybe your LPer skipped through. All of those answers were also answered within 30 minutes of the game starting. SPOILER: You recall in Part 2 in 1955, when Doc's DeLorean got struck by lightning while flying and got transported back to 1885, 70 years into the past. When the lightning struck, it also made a "temporal duplicate" that sent ANOTHER DeLorean 70 years into the future, into 2025. On some trip there, he discovered it and had to get it away from Grif Tannen (Biff's grandson) before Grif was able to wreck some havoc in the space time continuum. This is how Doc now has a new shiny DeLorean. He could have also put in some upgrades during this time, as we do not know how much time has passed since this incident, not literally speaking, which explains the new "feature" in the DeLorean that allows it to travel right back to Doc's garage in 1986 after a certain time unattended in foreign time periods. Doc time travelled to the 1930s to solve the mystery about the burnt down speakeasy, and to pick up some first edition books that were printed in the 1930s for Clara's birthday. All of this dialog is optional, but fun tidbits for the uberfan like me. And I like point and clicks, I don't think they're mediocre. >_> This one? Simple? Yes. Charming? Also, yes. Doesn't mean it's mediocre.
  13. I saw a really cool car that looked like it wasn't...not influenced by the DeLorean, or the DeLorean was influenced by it, but they both had a lot of design similarities. Same hatchback body shape, similar back window (the slitted black plating over the engine area), Gullwing doors, ect. I do believe it was a Nissan. Also.... From what I gathered, the DeLorean was heavily based off the Lotus (elite?) of the time period (no pun intended.) Maybe I missed the part about the Mercedes car.
  14. Well, did you LISTEN to the actual dialog while you were watching it on YouTube? All of your questions are explained in some of the scenes with Marty and Doc back in the 1930s. Also, if you read some of the forum posts in some of these topics, you'd get your answers the same way. I can spell it out for you, if you'd like.
  15. I agree with Jen, actually. You don't ASK a crazy person if they need help.

  17. Well obviously it's not entirely Mr. Bellic himself, but when Marty is talking about the "Cubs Win World Series.." in 201 22 and it's flashing the highlights, there's a few dudes walking around beneath the advertisement. One of them is wearing a shirt and pants similar to Roman Bellic. The shirt pattern looks like it has the circle and square pattern, in addition to the colors are similar as well. The pants are jeans though, so that doesn't work. The hair also looks similar too. Just something I noticed off the Blu Rays. Outatime.it isn't working for me at the moment, otherwise i'd post the image (getting all broken images), but it would be around 22:01.
  18. I picked the Godfather character, and they were calling me Crockett after that first encounter. Must've been a bug.
  19. SPOILER: I just wish Young Doc could have been told the *true* purpose of his drill! I know it would have ruined the future and stuff, but....it just must feel like another betrayal and someone who just didn't appreciate his scientific endeavours. And Young Doc....Young Doc didn't deserve that. The one friend that he had just had to go and....oooh it just made me so sad. Anyone wondering about that Zemeckis thing I said earlier?
  20. SPOILER: Did anyone else feel like a TOTAL ASS when you betrayed Young Doc at the end with the drill? I know i did. Most memorable part of the whole episode, it invoked a feeling of sadness. =[ ALSO, does anyone else wonder why Robert Zemeckis is never in on any of these talks? I always see, from a directoral standpoint, Bob Gale coming in and talking about the BTTF franchise, but never Zemeckis. Anyone else think this is weird?
  21. Oh I know, I know. I just can't stand cliffies. Same as Half Life 2 Ep. 2, but I digress. I forget, is this canon, or not?
  22. I just finished and I'd like to say... I HATE CLIFFHANGERS. =[ EDIT : I'd ALSO like to say, this game was awesome. But i STILL HATE CLIFFHANGERS.
  23. Dude, sweet. Does anyone know the process in launching a digital download or a game like this? I'm sure it's not a simple process like flipping a switch...right?
  24. I'm currently vacationing in a house that has one computer with broadband, no router, no wireless, one modem, and one wired port in the modem going to the desktop computer. XD So yeah, having a Setup file without constant internet activation would be SO NICE.
  25. For anyone that's digitally downloaded Telltale's games before, do they require an Internet activation to make it work? Or do I just need the key? And do they give a Setup.exe so I can download it and take it to a different machine? This computer is not the one I want BTTF on....I'd prefer it on my laptop.
