  1. I'm surprised the thread isn't filled with flames and hatred for having dared to ask that question, i guess the community here either matured or left. Anyways i dug up my old account info just to tell you this: it's been 6 years since 0.2e, give up and move on. Check the status once a year, and if it ever gets released you'll be pleasantly surprised and will have avoided years of frustration.

  4. I'm thinking of buying it for my lil brother's birthday, but so far all movie games disappointed me (batman begins, transformers, etc), they focus too much on pretty graphics and the replayability is 0. Has anyone tried the ps2 version yet?
  5. Latest looks stable. Played 21 minutes in the future and only one crash during flying animations, which shouldn't be related to this. Nice work

    The Sims 3

    I used to like the sims as a kid, but they took it too far imo, way too many expansions to waste money on. Maybe i did something wrong, but i was always so busy with the micromanagement to keep each sim happy that i hardly enjoyed it without cheating. Plus, i heard they even die in the second one, so in the end you work your butt off to get them to excel at their job, only to see them die after a set number of game days Building houses from scratch was the good part.

It would be cool to have different mechanics for each TM, but i'm guessing they are all using the same time travel code, and making a different one for each would probably use up alot of coding space. What i really like about the first bottom sequence is the time it takes to time travel. It might be too slow, can't say for sure without trying it out myself, but in the official version i find it very easy to reach 88 in a few seconds (6~ seconds of straight road), it takes away much of the challenge during chases, especially the libians with their blind driver

    Biff rage

    Just how far would Biff really go to catch Marty? I've been wondering that for a while now. Consider that he was in his 20s, more or less. Excluding the tunnel scene in part 2, where people argue Biff was given more of a villain personality than the big dumb school bully, he was ready to squash Marty against the manure truck in part 1. What if Marty didn't pull off that skate-under-car stunt, would Biff really be that stupid/angry to actually kill him in front of dozens of people?

    Biff looks great, marty has a creepy face though. And his jacket doesn't seem to fit him too well Offtopic: There's a problem with your new libyans, the game crashed whenever they were supposed to spawn. Had to revert to the original skins/models.

  11. hmmm i have a problem with this last update During 3.3 installation it told me "One of the files for the mod that was secified in the script file could not be found. Make sure the installscript.txt file is in the same directory as the rest of the files for the mod.". Happened twice then finished without any more problems, but the only difference i see in game is the new particles. Any ideas?
  12. I vote no, as long as keeping them doesn't impair the development of the mod. Police chases really add to the replayability of the mod at this stage, without them the only thrills i'd get would be from libians chasing me on a hoverboard
  13. If you open gta3.img with txdworkshop you can see the textures of the radar. Problem is it's divided into 64 little squares, so you have to divide the hill villey map and find the right .txd's to replace with each piece. I tried making a textured map yesterday but failed miserably

Uhm... i started having problems with my monitor a few weeks ago, sometimes the screen becomes slightly greenish or blueish, it either lasts for a while or keeps flickering between normal and strange light. (On a side note, i started noticing this on october 26 i had seen a post about someone having their video drivers screwed up after installing .2e, but i don't see how it could cause this, and my drivers are fine and updated.) The monitor is a flat screen just a few months old, card is a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT Any ideas?
  17. As long as the mod keeps going and the developers don't vanish in thin air like it happened with a baldur's gate mod i'm happy. Impatience is something you have to deal with in all mods, all games, fanmade or official, anything that's good and intresting... it's a human characteristic i suppose

    Saving 0.2e

    Don't go for location circuits now. Just do the mission for the fun of it, otherwise you get fed up doing 10 rides then ditching the save because a new update is out.
  24. Downloading now. Will install another vc and see if it works with the mod.
  25. Having the same problem with imgtool. Gives a weird error message when i try to add/replace the modified bikev.ifp Would be nice if one of the peeps who used it in .2d could give us a hand
