  1. Progress from this thread has been discontinued...
  2. Wow, very nice work! I'm looking forward to your next update.
  3. I want to thank you for your reply to my topic on Oct. 22: http://www.bttfhillvalley.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/5729-rogers-131-train-model-issue/

Sorry I didn't see your response, as I've been busy in-and-out of things. I just tried loading 0.2f again, and the train was perfectly fine. I believe that the problem occurred due to what you described. [how the game loads extra parts]

No problem :). I checked the model in-game and the reflection map might give that flipped-polys look too.

Okay, good to know. Thanks! :)

  4. I can't seem to get Fraps to take a screenshot at this moment, but the Rogers 131 train model has an issue. The polygons for the smoke stack are flipped, so you see the inside of it, not the outside. It is also only visible from the front view (looking backwards while driving).
It's time to go back! This is absolutely wonderful. 5-stars for all of the time and effort put into this version, despite any minor bugs that may be left. [Bugs aren't important at this point in time] Happy Future Day! #FutureDay
  5. I understand what you mean, Leaf. Shipping costs can be crazy, so going with Bob's Prop Shop is understandable. I'm sure it will all turn out okay for you!
  6. Great plans, Leaf! Personally, I am not a DeLorean owner; however, from friends I personally know and people who work at Temporal FX who I used to know (Joe Walser, Terry Matalas), I would highly recommend Temporal FX and Bruce Coulombe's Coulombe Enterprises. My friend, who owns a Coulombe car, has not had any reliability issues in terms of wear and tear with parts thus far, being a year after he sent the car to Florida to have the conversion done. If you do send your car to him though, be very picky with some of the features that you add to it, as they can really alter the car's appearance for more or less accuracy, depending on what you're going for; one of the big factors is the removal of the rear window. Before you read the next part, I would like to point out that I'm a bit of a perfectionist. What I'm going to say will sound a bit picky, but it in no way insults the great work that is put in to DeLorean conversions. With Coulombe replicas, I'm not a huge fan of LED ambient lighting in the interior and on the exterior. Another thing that makes me cringe a bit are the way they shape the flux coils/bands in the rear. If you want them to look a bit more accurate, make sure you mention that, as their bends are a bit different. The wiring on the sides of the body are also a factor to consider. Coulombe replicas have the wires too close to the rear fender, which isn't a big deal, but it affects accuracy. Here is a picture of my friend's car. He runs the Steel City Time Machine page on Facebook: As Mike said, Temporal FX is nothing but quality. Since they are comprised of people who worked on the "A" car, all you can expect is the best. I myself though, could never buy a DeLorean and deface a classic. The only way I would ever get a time machine would be for it to have already been converted by a previous owner. Don't quote me on this, though! EDIT: I just read the thread you shared about Bob's Prop Shop, Mike. Literally, I read all of it. WOW! I am friends with Adam on Facebook, and I never knew any of this. I feel absolutely terrible about what happened to him. This completely changed my view on videobob, which was already a bit tainted due to some of his other actions. Wow.
  7. I understand what you mean with originality. That's always a plus! It's good to know all of these facts.. Even though I probably won't have the opportunity to put them to use.
  8. Have you considered a fiberglass front fascia, Mike? I watched this video a while ago. It seems quite good, considering there's less chance of them warping: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FD6U-GTQz-w
  9. Wow, this is fantastic news! Do you have a thread on a DMC forum for this project? I would be very interested in keeping up with your progress. I can also relate to not having the time for gaming. Times have certainly changed. Regardless, I hope you are doing well overall. Best to you and the Mrs. EDIT: Now that I think of it, your project almost sounds like Project Vixen, in some ways. Have you considered giving your project a name?
  10. The ability to change my member title would be nice. Heh.

  11. Good to hear from you, Mike! The restoration project looks great, do keep us posted! Unfortunately, I don't really frequent this forum too much anymore. I'm mostly on the LCPDFR forum, doing GTA IV related work. Hopefully version 0.2f is able to come around soon. Any progress is good progress.
  12. http://www.bttf-lc.saram-network.com/download/NoVehicleLightBoxes.asi Nice work, Leaf! I have been using an alternative method, which I believe BTTFModMachine or someone else here taught me. If you don't want to use a script, you can change the handling.cfg file. There are af and ag values for the front and rear light boxes. Normally, these are set to 0, 1, 2, or 3. To get rid of the boxes, you can change the value to 9. Example: Original handling: BANSHEE 1400.0 2.3 4.5 1.6 0.0 0.0 -0.25 70 1.10 0.84 0.53 5 200.0 33.0 R P 11.1 0.52 0 34.0 1.8 0.18 0.30 0.49 45000 0.25 -0.18 0.5 0.3 8183 0 1 Light boxes removed: BANSHEE 1400.0 2.3 4.5 1.6 0.0 0.0 -0.25 70 1.10 0.84 0.53 5 200.0 33.0 R P 11.1 0.52 0 34.0 1.8 0.18 0.30 0.49 45000 0.25 -0.18 0.5 0.3 8183 9 9 Therefore, if you wish to not have to use a script, you can simply edit the handling.cfg file to achieve the same result!
  13. Well, I think I unfortunately have run out of patience for 0.2f. I may return to this community someday, but it won't be anytime soon.. Thanks for the good times; it was fun.

  14. Hey man, happy birthday! :)

Yikes! I hadn't noticed your message until now. Thank you so much! :)

  15. Happy birthday, Microman! :)

  16. I'll be back when 0.2f is released. Until then, I'll see you on LCPDFR! ;)

  17. I am now more active on sites, such as lcpdfr.com: http://www.lcpdfr.com/user/31013-murphy/

  18. Happy birthday, gtavicecity! :D

  19. Hey Microman! I found this, which works well for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.direxar.animgiflivewallpaper2
  20. Oooh, that script would be helpful. I don't use SA too much anymore though, but it might be nice to have.
  21. LOL, looking back at this topic it's like: "Creating GTA V before it was cool"
