stupid animating particles.
They can animate....they just will be left behind by the car.

I thought it was Hill Valley
-
0.2e is unstable....
-
lol, i think it looks fine
just not movie accurate, but I don't really care. Its close enough.
-
lol, we were complaining about how it glowed in the films when ILM wasn't used.
-
nope, the real delorean and how the coils glowed.
-
yeah, the neon behind it wasn't covered on the sides so you could see it.
like so, with the car on the left side, N standing for neon, C standing for coil.

So even though you were looking at the back, you could still see the neon glowing behind the coils.
-
Ugh you don't get what I meant. They placed the neon tubes behind the mesh tubes to get them both to glow. Then later on when they broke, had them only in the middle. I'm just trying to explain why the car glows bad in one shot and others it's perfectly even. ILM couldn't do motion blurring back in 1985, so that lighting run shot is the real neon tube glows.but the tubes weren't transparent. Have you even seen the real cars? The tubes never did glow. The mesh never did glow. All the neon was behind the mesh which had holes in them so the neon could show through.
-
yep. All you need to do for the next version is to get the original main.scm.
That also means your old saves work for the next version.
-
nope, the real cars had neons behind the mesh. They never made the tubes out of neon.
-
GTASA BTTF just reverted back to a CLEO only mod that still has animations and objects ^^
-
Oh Em Gee
I just found out how you can call objects without changing main.scm, and I'm hoping to dear god it works on VC as well.
Call the IDE number. This means, there will be no need to edit the main.scm anymore........YIPEEE

Look again. I see two neons on the front coil and a neon behind the side coils. Look for the black holders and you'll see the neon is a lot farther in then one would expect.
Plus on the side one, you can clearly see the neon disappear behind the coil when it curves backwards after going down.
-
ok, wrong plasma trails....
-
sure? They were behind the coils so you could have confused them for the coils.
Need pics of the A and B car, lol...
-
you know those tubes? They were the neon tubes behind the mesh. Not the tubes surrounding the mesh. That right there was a real life shot, maybe touched up by ILM, but ILM did not add the glow there.
-
its the same...minus the plasma trails.
-
Actually, if you looked at the bttf1 stills, it comes otu the same place as bttf3's. We just never saw it at a good enough angle.
Besides, I think that was real fire and not movie magic, so obviously they couldn't have put the fire emmiters on the tire
Oh yeah, remember, this isn't the actual coils yet. The actual ones back at my apartment have only the mesh lighting up, not the tubes.
-
Better picture of what I had in mind.
-
This was my idea...kinda. Needs editing, so its not final, but you get the idea.
Needs to be a bit thinner
-
No point. Its for fun. And its to keep people looking in the forums.
or would you rather me be like those other modders who post their progress pics every week rather then every hour? Pick your poison
Plus, sometimes I have lol videos like that time Doc RC'd the delorean over marty.
-
then you should know i post tons of pictures, sometimes not relating to the current progress.
-
anyway, so the thing is....I completely forgot that you had to get the velocity and then divide by 100.0, since I did that with KITTS Turbo boost, so this was what happened...
Just wondering

Anyone ever notice the "wheels" on the flying delorean?
