FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I have installed the 0.2g but when starting a new game it loads the regular Vice City storyline, did I do something wrong?
A: No. The mod is now 100% CLEO and we are no longer editing main.scm, meaning that you can play the regular Vice City storyline with the mod!

Q: What are the new controls?

Q: Where do I find the DeLorean/Train Time/Rogers #131 Locomotive/Doc's Truck?
A: The DeLorean, Time Train, Rogers #131 Locomotive, and Doc's Truck can all be spawned by pressing the relevant spawn key as detailed in ⁠ Controls⁠

Q: How do I upgrade the DeLorean?
A: The DeLorean can be upgraded using Doc's Truck which now acts as a mobile garage. To use the garage, lower the ramp on the rear of Doc's Truck by pressing the Action Key when standing at the rear corner of the Truck. Drive the DeLorean inside, and press the Sub-Mission key to activate the menu.

Q: What can I configure within bttfhv.cfg
A: Hover Up/Hover Down keys can be specified within the config file (default are HOME and END).

Time Scale can also be set, this determines the value at which time passes within the game (new games only). By default the mod uses realtime, however should you wish to change this, simply uncomment the TIME_SCALE line, and set the value to your liking. For example, setting TIME_SCALE=10000 would mean that for every 1 minute of real time, 6 minutes game time would pass in game.
