uranium is weakly radioactive, plutonium has a higher density than uranium, so like Doc says" I need a nuclear reaction that generates the 1.21 giggawatts of electricity that I need!"

QUOTE (archer9234 @ Jun 14 2010, 11:58 AM) Also, it's 2015. Why didn't he try an electric engine. Have you ever tried reaching 88mph with an electric motor. If it's even able to reach that speed, think of how long it would take to accelerate, especially with the load it's carrying in the rear. I mean all the added components is extra weight. Also, I bet the Mr. Fusion weighs a lot in film.

Well Joe, the Mr. Fusion actually didn't weigh to terribly much since producer Bob Gale has the original Mr. Fusion at his home decorated and function as a table lamp of course some components did had some weights but nowadays you may find parts just like it and weight alot less! you never know!

"It somehow avoided the ill fate of the rest of the car and has been lucky enough to enjoy twenty years in the personal collection of producer, Bob Gale." "After principle photography was complete, Michael Lantieri (Special Effects Supervisor) took the Mr. Fusion and made it into a desk lamp for the writer/producer." I went and looked around, I remembered seeing Bob Gale holding the Mr. Fusion, but found this

It was only 2 seconds slower than the gas bike it raced.

Was Mr. Fusion a coffee grinder or a food processor before it was installed in the delorean?

mr fusion is a fusion engine. it converts matter into energy. they were using trash in 1985, 1955 and 2015 because it was really easy to find. they could have used anything in 1885 they could just chuck a handful of rocks in there and it would work fine

its matter isnt it? if it could run off some beer, an empty can and a bannana peel then it can run off rocks. it wont be like "oh no i dont detect any paper, aluminium or bannana peels so i cant run" it would be like "oh theres matter in me? i better convert that into electricity"
my point is it wouldnt be specifically calibrated to only use specific materials as fuel. its a fusion engine it can use anything. you could cut your hand off and put it in there and it would run

mr fusion converts matter into energy so anything works heck you could even kill someone and stuff their body in there.

LOL That might make the time machine look bad LOL Doing that, it just makes it work like a meat grinder! I guess for a start would be the head, then what would you do with the rest of the body if it fills up the mr. fusion with one head?
