I was wondering, why the heck there isnt awesome gta san andreas bttf mod?

It can be made, hell, theres already lots of mods for BTTF mod.

Theres the main BTTF team that doesnt do anything atm, nothing, we havent heard any news on VC or SA versions.

Theres tons of modders that make small changes or big changes to their mod versions.

Theres hellava lot stuff already done, that needs simply putting together.

Thers admins on this site that can get permissions.

COME ON guys!! Dont sit there, just make it happen!

San Andreas has cleo! It can have awesome BTTF mod, with delo k.i.t.t , deloreans, dmc 13, cars from diffrent eras, map!

Just think about it! Im sure that lot of people would donate to make this thing happen!

This question is just.. Uhm, nevermind.

It can be made, hell, theres already lots of mods for BTTF mod.

Go ahead. Do it.

the main BTTF team that doesnt do anything atm, nothing, [...]

Pure speculation.

[...] we havent heard any news on VC or SA versions.

Thus your speculation.

Theres tons of modders that make small changes or big changes to their mod versions.

Theres hellava lot stuff already done, that needs simply putting together.

Again, go ahead then. Especially since you think it's so simple.

Just make it an awesome mod (I'm having a déjà vu).

Thers admins on this site that can get permissions.

Yep, that's the mod team. As I get it, they'd rather do all the stuff themselfs rather than simply put all that ms-paint crap together that you can find on the net.

COME ON guys!! Dont sit there, just make it happen!

And what do you have to contribute?

San Andreas has cleo! It can have awesome BTTF mod, with delo k.i.t.t , deloreans, dmc 13, cars from diffrent eras, map!

Just think about it! [...]

It seems to me that you have absolutely no idea about the complexity of such a project. Or what GTAs and CLEOs limitations are.

Modding a game which is not officially supported to be modded is not easy. There do exits growing informations for hacking GTA games but that doesn't mean it will all just work. It's far from just simply putting stuff together. You're living in a dream world. It doesn't make any sense to yell at a leaveless tree in the winter.

---

Apart from that... don't spam, please. There are already plenty of threads regarding this kind of speculation.

If you really can't hold yourself, spam there at least.

All the GTA games are completely unmod friendly. It may be weird. But a lot of the time. The newer games don't allow things that the older games do. It's the lack of source code, changes in the engine, they put in limiations on purpose, and being able to edit the core main files at will. R* sucks in that department in caring about mods. So that's not gonna really change. Intill they do. If GTA was truly that mod friendly. Then the mod would of been moved to GTA IV. Why on earth would we stick to Vice City. When the game is old to the point not reabily working on modern PC's. Picture it this way. Your job is to making Batman Begins. But you're stuck using 1980's tech. Work around that. Then when something does get done. It causes our really lovely game crash with no info on why.

no, I don't think that's a good idea. IMO, I just want you guys to make it into a whole different game. But the genre of the game I suggest should be a bit the same as GTA generally, TPS + driving car ability. Put it on steam and you'll make a budget. I know it's hard for you all to make a great mod without even having a single cent (other than having the money from donation). GTA modding nowadays is so outdated and of course you'll encounter a lot of compatibility issues. that's just my opinion

Wait you want us to put it on steam? That would require us to buy a License from Universal to do that. Does Steam even allow mods in the shops store like that (free I mean)? Whole different game? What game, what engine? Port all the work to another engine that won't be using the same sound, particle setup etc. The models could be moved. But all the mod game code can't just go BOOM works. I don't deal with VC game code. But can it be converted to Python, C++, or whatever that engine does? Again, what game/engine would satisfy the HV mode. I seriously would like a list. Cause I can't think of anything off the top of my head.

You can get trapped in a game fabrication circle:

People want a higher quality game, so we take our inadequate, outdated game and create a completely new game, which requires better, more powerful PC's, which leads to game downgrading, which will lead to bugs, time goes by fixing those bugs, which in time will lead to people wanting a higher quality game, so we take our inadequate, outdated game...etc.

I think we're at the bug fixing stage right now, so everyone wants a higher quality game. Right? :chair:

I rest my case. :cash:

I'm just giving a suggestion anyway, no offense. unity and unreal engine (unreal development kit for the free version) can do such a great thing in my mind. To me, if you wanna look your game a bit cartoonish, you can use unity as a great partner of your development progress. or if your game wanna look a bit serious, use unreal engine instead (I give this opinion because I'm judging from the shader type of each game engine). you can use your assets (3d models, particles, maps, and etc), but not your code if you want to migrate it to game engine. you have to recode it in C#, Javascript or Boo if you're using unity, and unrealscript (if i'm not mistaken) for unreal engine.

PS: At the time when I gave that comment, I didn't think about getting the license from Universal studios. XD

I did consider moving it all to SA once the VC mod was mostly finished, but I left, so those plans were unfinished.

Now, I wouldn't really want to come back to GTA modding as its not the friendliest game to mod, and I think the new GTA's with the new engine make it even harder to move the stuff forward. I did poke around unity for a bit, but nothing really came out of it.
