well when i install the downtown map, if i start the game then it crashes halfthrough loading.
and i now that hv isn't an add on butt the downtown map is

Sounds to me like you've tried installing the add on for 0.2d onto 0.2e, if that's the case, theres your problem.

The add-on was for 0.2d, it is included as standard as part of 0.2e.
